Is it possible to do something irrational rationally ?Voted for by neverreturn.
Some people said they do sth irrational after rational consideration. For example, one in anger said that he know the aversive consequence will follow after he breaks his computer. However, he choose to break it bacause he knows he would do something more violent if he repressed his anger and he also knows that breaking the computer is the best way for him to relieve. He seems to do irrational things through rational considerations? In this case, is he doing something irrational rationally?

Rational means reserved,Voted for by Robbwindow.
If rations are derivative of some food your going to know about it. Not the rations of bacon you convieniently grill thinking how smart a philosopher one can be - avoiding the extra fat content of frying - although philosophers are sometimes underweight, what can we do with them? You may well ask all that thinking and analytical discursion melts into the window of some disclosed opinion already aired and shared but still my similarities outway the different attitude I vere towards on this topic, infact, the whole name of the web-site, so upon posing the question is it possible for a philosophic rant able to maintain it's tenacity without dissolving into some political speech or sermon. Well my answer to this personally illudes this conciense that seems to evaporate in the fear of godly attributes, only adding several more topics to raised around philosophy. So should there be a time limit on our philosophies? Hmm yes this has to be taken into consideration if not including the cut n paste massive who observe much waffle that only adds confusion. N.B. Keep the breakfast simple on the menu and no-one will choose it, but plant a simple breaky in front of an already hypnotised person of sidings towards the 'Greasy spoon', then your on to a winner. Nice topic.

Funny that you should bring this up
I've thought about that alot. When I was much younger, once I was so mad at my girlfriend that I walked out side and slammed the hair dryer against the tree. It went into a million pieces. In some ways I am ashamed of it but in other ways I'm glad I did that instead of standing there and lashing out at her. When the dryer flew into a million pieces I actually could feel the stress melting away. I know that sounds weird but I swear I could. In conclusion, if I had it to do all over again, knowing what I know now, I probably would handle that situation much differently...LOL. But, as they say, hindsight is 20/20. ;)May 8, 2006
