Philosopher or Porn Star: Which is Better?

Imagine a very smart person whose looks are a bit lacking and a very good looking person whose intelligence is a bit lacking. The smart guy becomes a philosopher, the hottie becomes a porn star. Which is better?

    Is this a stupid question? You can be a philosopher for life but once you get old and wrinkly who wants that kind of porn? How would you bring in Income? A philosopher has so many choices that it is un comparible to a porn star, to be a porn star is like to sell you body for cheap payless money. PLus a philosopher could be a brilliant educator deeply respected with tons of good credits. Common sense does justice.

    they say that you become a philosopher when challenged by life's extremes/paradoxes.... i'll bet there are a few very philosophical porn stars out there... and perhaps some very open-minded philosophers as well.

    Undobtebly it is the best solution for a smart person to become a philosopher (whithoug good looks it wouldn't be a successful porn star anyway). Also, the good looking person with a lack of brain, is more likely to suceed in life as a porn star than philosopher. So, in the short term, both persons made right decision, and in long term...who knows.

    Smart person or the Philosopher,might have a advatage,because of the intelligence,the Philosopher might have a better life(I said MIGHT)get through life a little better because the person MIGHT get a better job and lead a OK or Good life

    The porn star would be happy that he/she gets to have fun and gets paid great buck$ but they wold probley nver fell complete if the did'nt have a strong belife to fight for. The philosopher Know what they belive in and will fight to make it seen...

    Basicaly the Philosopher has to work to be noticed (and they may go into history)Thge porn star gets it easy but in the end will probley be passed away to make room for better stars

    I hear it's really difficult to get a job as a philosopher. At least the porn star has income.

    But if you're assuming that both people already have jobs, than probably the philosopher. If the philosopher is in academia, say a professor, he can set his own hours. He can take summers off and go on sebatical whenever he wants. He may have to kiss ass from time to time when it comes to getting funding, but at least he won't have people trying to stick things up his.
