Damnation.50% Voted for by insanity embodied, buggirl, ShadowSong92.
I come from a long line of faithful Christian followers. I have quite a few relatives who are preachers or ministers as well. I myself am not one. But I've heard other Christian people talk and i have some knowledge of beliefs. Some Christians though think it's their right to damn the disobediant. Isn't that being heretical to their own religion where God has the final determination of a soul? Do they really have the right to say that because you don't believe you're going to burn? I don't think that Christians really have this power but they insist on telling me that I'm going to Hell if I don't change my ways.

God alone.33% Voted for by NinelDuellen, Jesusquest.
God alone has the final judgment upon all human beings. If a certain person does not believe in God, it is not up to the Christian sitting next to them to tell them that they are going to Hell. This only damages the word of God. And those judgmental Christians will also have to face God one day, and be held accountable for their actions.

Moderation in WarningsVoted for by Potus13.
While according to my personal beliefs, a person cannot 'damn someone to hell', they can warn a person if they believe that that person is not on their way to a heavenly realm after death. However, these warnings should never be a simple, blatant "You're going to Hell!" As with any debate or persuasion, the Christian has a responsibility to discuss their beliefs in comparison with the other's in order to intellectually convince them of their mindset.

I agree also
Generally speaking; Most Christians only wish to warn others, of the consequences of personal choice. Hell is not forced on you. Hell is absence of God and If we choose to, not aknowledge Him as Lord in life; then we get our wish to not experience Him in the after-life also. We should never tell another, "you are going to Hell!" But we should only explain that consequence to those who ask for council in such matters.May 26, 2006

Hmmm...
Well, I'm christian, but I think that certain christians, FOrget the bible passage "Dont pass judgenent to others" and more want to save everyone, and dont accept other ppl for who they r, and it ok to make yr point, but some just dont know when to stop, true. Accepting change, is that not just the battle of the world...Please register or login to comment! It's totally free
