If you do love someone, why is it so hard to say it?

Yes, if you love someone, why is it hard to say it so? Does it ever just slip and come at the right time? Or does it stay stuck inside forever until you eventually do say it? Or are you just afraid to say it because you know its true...

  • Fear of Rejection

You don't want to be hurt? The relationship is so nice now you don't want to ruin it? Those are my ideas.

  • not just rejection, but pain in general

Yeah, there is the feeling of rejection that everyone faces when it comes to love, but some people, mainly women, who feel that something went wrong the last time they said "I Love You" to a special someone, they don't want to risk it again. Maybe they could be accepting the fact that they do love the person but cannot come to terms with it. Denial, in a sense. Like "how could I love this person?", something like that.

  • You Care

If you really love someone, it is because you care about them a lot. If you care enough to love someone, you don't want to lose them for anything. You also don't want to hurt them and drive them away by extreme feelings they may not yet have. You never know if they feel the same way you do, and without knowing more details, I can't give you advice on what action to take. If you are afraid to say I love you, it is because you care about the person you love and you care about yourself. You must also care about losing this person. I'm sure you can think of many terrible things that could happen if this person did not love you, but you do know that they could, right? If it's some not normal situation and you want more advice, you can always ask me. A Dreamer Awake.
