Does the world now count on Suicide to releave it's pain?

Today society deals with suicide more and more. Is it becoming a thing of do or don't. Do people ingnore the things that matter most. Are we all dulled to the point of breaking under the littiest persure.

  • nope.

the world doesnt rely on suicide to relieve its pain. suicide is an act committed by one person for their own personal reasons. its just one way of many that people have decided to handle a given situation. relief can be solved by many things, usually addictions and the world has plenty of those - some which are more prevalent than suicide. for example: drugs, sex, alcohol, self-mutilation. even some that arent viewed as harmful like watching movies or writing. suicide is just one of many pain relievers.

whether it be moral or selfish in anyone else's mind, the person who is doing the act thinks its what they should do. people who are suicidal are usually like first graders. they arent generally capable of coping with their feelings or rational thinking when something becomes overwhelming to them where as people who arent suicial are more like college level students. it depends on the person.

suicide does end with continuing a line of pain, different sources but its pain all the same, i agree with Makessenseright. so back to the original question,Does the world now count on Suicide to releave it's pain? id have to say no, because if it were to relieve pain, the pain would be gone. the world is aware of the pain that suicide causes as i do believe that the societies of the world do recognize suicide as a huge problem and do what they can to prevent it. therefore it cant be viewed as a relief for anyone other than the person who actually goes through with the suicide.

  • Suicide is:

Suicide is only one of the many symptons of a much bigger blight; Hopelessness.

Hopelessness is what drives some of us to do desperate acts.

Without hope for our future, we have nothing to look forward to.

As todays generation matures, they become more aware of the times and the chaos that increases with every new day, in this world.

As our enviroment crumbles and our Earth struggles to keep balance; some beings feel that lack of hope more and more. So in turn likewise; we see more and more symptoms of hopelessness. More crime, more suicide, more trust in wealth than in spiritual things. It all increases as hopelessness increases.

  • Yes.

I feel that people dont relize what they do or how they do something. Anything for that matter. We all think that we are the one or our way is the way, but what about the others?do we push ppl to their breking point? I think we all do but dont realize it , its hidden in that wonderful thing we call personality.

  • So, Moon Dust....

What you have actually said above is that suicidal persons are obsessed with self awareness? An awareness of their personal plight and pains? What is the catalyst of their pain? What has driven them to focus on themselves only and not care about consequence? Some who claim suicide, may be doing it for attention only, but that also is focused and based in self awareness. Better stated as selfish.

  • No! It doesn't!

The world doesn't depend on suicide...only some people...they aren't the entire popoulation though. I know theres people out there who aren't actually suicidal but SAY they are because they may THINK they are depressed but they actually aren't. They have it in their minds that depressed people want to kill themselves...and since their depressed they must want to kill themselves. And then theres the people that hurt themselves. They hurt themselves because they think they are deserving of the pain. It relieves their mind of its trouble an allows them to concentrate on the pain they are currently in. But people need to realize that suicide...its a permanent solution to a temporary problem! Suicidal people who are really suicidal aren't capable of thinking about how peoplemight react to their actions. They can't think about the pain of those around them, they can only think of their own pain. So those people do depend on suicide to relieve their pain, but it isn't the world. Maybe the world should be more concerned about those who do depend on suicide, before it's too late.

  • Not Entirely On Suicide

The world doesn't depend entirely on suicide, no. I think that 50% of it does, yes, but there is also that remaining percent that depend on physician assisted suicide, or the taking of a patients life in order to ease their pain. You do hear a lot of people who have committed suicide in order to ease their pain. But we are starting to hear more of physician assisted suicide. This is actually a good question to raise and it makes other's think hard about the true meaning of suicide.

  • suicide the permenant solution to the temporary solution

one of my closest friends is suicidal and have clocked up 14-17 failed attempts at it. one cuased me to break down the door and dislocate my shoulder breaking the door down. she has had a terrible life and her depression has been with her through most of it. she was called stupid by her teachers sexually abused by her dad at a young age and lost the love of her life to suicide as well. to her suicide is the only way out and when at the bottem she even welcomes oblivion. her religeon states suicide as a mortal sin which you go straight to hell for yet still she tries. all i am saying is for a majority of 'suicidal people' they have had truely shit lives. i am often heard saying life is a bitch to the best people. ronnie biggs one of the great train robbers id living it up in turkey he never got charged for his involvement in the crime een though they had irrefutable evidence it was turkish law that saved him he had had a child there so he couldn't extradited. in other words life nice get kicked in the face pull a heist and get a tan. for all of you out there if you have a suicidal friend help them be with them listen to them even take in there rage and channel it off. help them

  • No.

The world supposes the majority of people. Take a look around you. The majority of people want to live, and live well. What a depressing topic.
