Foreign births and holding office!

  • Well why not?

    If someone is born in a foreign country because his or her father or mother was serving in the military for the US at the time, well it’s not their fault is it?! Why can’t people like me hold office, sure maybe gov. of a state or legislature but not president or anything. My dad was stationed over in germany at the time of my birth serving the country, and they are trying to tell me I can’t run for office? Thats kinda odd.

  • why discriminate?

    we are a society based upoen equal rights and nondiscrimination (and we even fought over discrimination) so why should only american born people be president..we should not limit ourselves to such a hypocricy as only american born presidents but expand and allow anyone to be president (as long as they have lived in the country for 14 years) since most politicians who are from a different country have to reside here 7 years.

  • Dangerous

    70% of the world's population is tribal at best. that means allowing foreign births to hold office is like playing russian roullette. Spies would be able to infiltrate government power to benefit their home nation instead of the new one they propose to uphold.
