We now know that illegal immigration into America is a problem. Over 1.1 million illegal immigrants enter this country every year. If just half a percent of them were terrorists that would be 5,500 terrorists entering America YEARLY. We've all heard most of the debates on this subject and we know it's a growing problem. What I am asking you now is for solutions. Anything (not sadistic or stupid) you can think of that would be effective in stemming the tide of ILLEGAL immigration into the United States. Write them below along with why you think they would work.

people come to the US to make a better life 99.99999% or try to end the greedy place of sin against the whole world. so all you have to do is get really good background checks and let that 99.99999 come here to flip your burgers, build your houses, for less money than the average american would want to do it. stuff costs less because you dont pay workers as much, they get money, they pay income tax that goes social security and then never use it... something like 600 billion dollars or so, and everybody is happy. how about that. or they could find an easier way to get legaly into the US that doesnt take three years to process it that includes the background check...

Punishing them with a week in jail will not be very effective, some are pretty nasty criminals that have seen a lot more jail time than a week. What needs to be done is the US needs massive social reform. We need to create heavy limitations on our social assistance. Welfare should be allowed for no more than five years. Subsidized housing needs to have massive limitations. Healthcare should either be a state run entity and work completely off of tax dollars or it should not be provided for free. Our own citizens should have to fall under highly specific guidelines to receive social assistance. Able bodied, meaning not elderly or disabled, people should be given training instead of welfare. Training can be provided at a significantly lower cost than social assistance. Businesses should be heavily fined for hiring illegal immegrants. THere is a reason that we created naturalization services. The only reason that immigrants are doing "the work that americans wont do" is because our loosely regulated social assistance programs are making unnecessary. Without free money people will do jobs that they may not ordinarily do. Anyone that pays taxes should understand where that money goes, and how much of a drain to our society these illegal immegrants are creating.

I think Punishing them when they are caught by boarder patrol would work alot better then just bring them back into mexico because the next day they can just try it agian. So maybe like a week in a prision cell or something like that would work.

So here's what we do: We invade Mexico and take it over. we add it to the union as our 51st through 82nd new states! We then make all Mexicans US citizens, which seems to be what they want, and we take over the Mexican oil industry , which is what we want! Everybody wins!
Think about it; we couldn't possibly run things in Mexico any worse that their own government is, and
we already care more for the plight of the Mexican people than their own government does, so why shouldn't we be running the show south of the Rio Grande?
we wouldnt even have to fight the Mexican army, either. all we would have to do is drop green cards on them, and most of them would defect to our side. it would be the easiest conquest since Pizarro took Peru, and a lot less bloody! then we could make the Mexicans pay their own social security tax, and since they are all citizens, there would be no more need to go to the expense of deporting them. they would be free to come and go as they please, so long as they don't cross our border with Belize.

Stop...... exploiting other countries wealth to produce your own. Help other countries to grow their own economy. This you should do without any expectation of profit gain, but just to improve their living circumstances, which (given that they are human too) are much worse than yours, sometimes as result of you.Voted for by raseyusmy.
Stop feeding them with the junk you feed them in terms of media. Many other cultures aren't ready for many of the things they are fed by the US media (which sadly, is global). This is especially the consumer orientated media, which is largely based on exploiting the consumers sinful nature. Given a less weary consumer, you make them poor and unable to value that which is important. This does not even begin to include the violence (and lack of respect for the fellow being) you feed to countries that don't have the law enforcement backup that you have (as soon as the US loose that backup, they fall to anarchy as well - just look at New Orleans as example).
Your solution does not lie with disallowing the illegal immigrants. The US has promulgated the US lifestyle to a poor world all along - what do you expect. While you do this, they will keep on flocking. OTOH you will never stop doing this, because you are dependent on them. Perhaps jack up your moral values too - at least the values portrayed by Hollywood. Not many good things coming from there nowadays. I disallow the gunk from the US in my house.
The US (from my perspective) has become so obsessed with demanding service, that they have forgotten how to be thankful. They have become so obsessed with asserting the individual, that they have forgotten (in some cases) that we function as a community (the world, actually). I sometimes ponder whether it is just a matter of time, when their ungodliness will catch up with them.
That said, there are some good things (and countless good people) coming from there too (I'll admit). Perhaps the US has not reached Gomorrah status yet. Take a stand against your exploiting media, then perhaps your countries dignity will be restored, for it is running low right now.

People say that immigrants get alot of free protection like medical care. But other people can also get free medical care. Most of these people that come are hard workers and I really dislike it when people say that most illegal immigrants join gangs and do drugs and those kind of stuff but actually there are more U.S. people that join gangs then the immigrants. Illegal is just that, illegal!Illegal is just that, illegal! Immigrants who come here on a work visa contribute much to the economy. Illegal aliens are not immigrants. They are not here with legal green cards or work visas. They are a burden on society receiving free medical care, welfare program subsidies, and in some cases, Social Security disability. I have no problem with workers coming to work and being paid a decent wage to perform the work. I have a problem with those who come here without papers, are taken advantage of by employers paying them poor wages, and being able to use the American taxpayer monies to provide for their needs. Granted illegal aliens are a benefit to certain economies and communities. They spend their untaxed dollars boosting the economy; then deplete social program resources paid by the American tax payers. There is no benefit and of course economic growth suffers as a result. Illegal aliens should not be receiving any kind of free benefits; rather programs need to be established that support their working legally and returning to their country of origin when the job is complete.
I believe the answer is to control the market that employs illegal. If we passed laws requiring:
Work visas, green cards, or proof of citizenship as a basic requirement for employment.
Compliance with minimum wage law and laws pertaining to employee practices and rights, and compliance with Workman’s Compensation requirements.
Legal SSN’s, verified by Social Security Administration, W2’s signed, and Wage and Earning statement issued at years end.
Immediate deportation of any illegal alien identified through job application, vehicle violation, criminal activity or any other legal means.
Fine employers up to $50,000.00 for knowingly hiring illegal aliens.
Visas and green cards issued for the period of seasonal employment or term of employment. Upon expiration, They return to their native country until the next season. To avoid having to issue new cards each year, establish valid work dates that they may be in this country working. These cards could have expiration dates similar to renewals issued for a driver’s license.
Provide no free benefits. Employers can offer benefits for providing health insurance, dental plans, retirement plans, etc. Since they would be legally working, they would qualify for Unemployment, Workman’s Compensation, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. There is no reason for the US taxpayer to subsidize workers with free benefits.
The laws pertaining to citizenship are in dire need of updating. Just because a child of non-US citizen parents is born in this country, is no reason to declare the baby a US citizen unless one of the parents is an American citizen. We are well aware of the numbers of illegal who come to this country and have a child so they can stay since the child is a US citizen. Ridiculous? Probably.
Provide a mechanism for aliens to apply for status to qualify for US citizenship.
To say the reason we have so many illegal is because Americans will not take these jobs is nonsense. We lose hundreds of thousands in tax dollars because most illegals are not paying taxes and employers are not contributing for their employees to receive benefits or services when needed. American citizens will not work for less than minimum wage or jobs without benefits. Why would we not provide the same benefits to all contributing to our economy, whether illegal or not? This has been allowed to continue for years, creating the nightmare we are forced to address today, demonstrating the lack of enforcement in an industry so critical to the US economy.
We must understand for this to work and to require compliance with law, the prices of products and services performed by illegals will go up. I do not believe it will be substantial and the benefits achieved are a reduction in illegal traffic since people will not come here if there is no real benefit in leaving their own country, and a partnership with a country struggling to survive, yet providing substantial labor benefiting our economy.

The small busniess owner and the common man lose business because the larger ones are exploiting the fact that these people are coming in illegally and will work for less money. So what if the terrorists had green cards? That's like saying that the terrorists were wearing sneakers so shoes don't matter-- a totally incongruous and worthless statement.Give me some statistics. How have the 12,000,000 illegal aliens in this country done a THING for the economy of the United States?
Look, I WANT people to come to the U.S. But legally. Those who come here ILlegally, must be deported. I'm not trying to be cruel, and we can be kind to them, if they're sick take care of them, that sort of thing, but deport them we must.
