Do parents enjoy their children more when they are little?

When a child becomes a teen, parents start to talk about their memories of when the child was younger. Does this mean that a parent only wants to talk about the past instead of the present? Does this mean that for the next six years of their teenage life, they won't feel accepted? Do parents cherish the past instead of the present? Do parents dislike seeing thier children grow up?

  • hm...

Yes, teenagers are emotional people and that is hard on their parents. I'd say parents are more fond of their life before their children became teens.

  • yeah

Parents generally just feel lonely because of realizing their kids are growing up. And they (the parents) are aging.
