Discrimination in the U.S.Constitution

How can one consider writing a discriminating amendment into a document that declares equality among all people?

  • It's simple

An amendment to our constitution that discriminates against any person(s) cannot be allowed to happen. Unlike the rest of the civilized world that is progressing on equal rights issues we would only be taking several steps back.

  • Discrimination

Discrimination is not a dirty word! I give my buddy a ride home from school, but not a stanger. I will discriminate against every woman who's not my wife, they will not have equal status in my eyes. The law discriminates against those who chose to break it. I'm not allowed in the girls bathroom, that discrimination! I agree that discrimination based on race, gender, height or any other inborn trait is wrong, but as far as I know homosexuality is a choice, you aren't born homosexual, it makes no sense from either an evolutionary or a religous point of view.

  • Homosexuality a choice?

First off saying that homosexuality is a choice and that we aren't born that way is complatly wrong. Why would I choose to like men and be disowned by my family and be made fun of at school. No homosexuality is not a choice it just happens. And not all people belive in one almighty God. I for one am pagan which means I belive in more then one God and the Goddess. There is a law going through congress right now that is trying to banned gay marriage all together. Look around of Heavens sake and see we are the only country that disowns it. Christanity is the only religion that still holds is a sin. So why does Bush trying to pass this law that is discrimanting against many belifes and who gave him this power. This makes me sick to think that the Declaration of Independace stated three things all Americans would have. They were "Life, Liberty and PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS." This law will make it so I can not marry who I want because of my "belife". Well Bush will most likly get his law and no one will be able to change it cause Bush stacked the Suprium Court. This is unfair and unconstitutional but all of the Christians are to far into the bible to see they are hurting so many people and they are the only arrogent people on left on the Earth. And for us to live in a perfect world people will have to accept more then discriminate.
