I know we have a billion topics on gay adoption already, but I'd like to make sure this is seen better. Both for opponents to it, and for supporters to use in future arguments.
Not only did a new state decide that a bill to ban homosexuals from adopting would be unconstitutional...the state was Arkansas! Score one for the red states. Maybe you're not the hillbillies I thought you were ;)
Furthermore, they said, "There is no correlation between the health, welfare and safety of foster children and the blanket exclusion of any individual who is a homosexual or who resides in a household with a homosexual"
And a quote from the article paraphrasing one of the judges decision: "The high court also said that being raised by homosexuals did not cause academic problems or gender identity problems as the state argued."
*sigh* That just put the hugest smile on my face. It's like bliss just came over me like a blanket. I'm in such a fantastic mood, I have to wonder if this is some sort of trap lol. Must be missing something you know?
Plus Germany won! I'm gonna enjoy this and celebrate awful hard tonight!

banning gay adoption is so wrong. if someone wants to be able to give an unwanted child a loving home and a good life, let them!! so what if they have a same-sex partner. even worse are those states that say if you are not married you can't adopt. there are too many starving kids out there and not enough straight married couples to help them!

Many yrs ago when I was in HS, I did a paper on homosexual adoption. I found it insane. Four states in the USA have banned homosexuals from adopting. Two of the states law literally says, "that if you have any homosexual encounters within four yrs, you will not be allowed to adopt!" How crazy is that! The other two just banned anyone who is not legally married from adopting kids. You know what, plenty of people from those states seem to have a huge with abortion, but now they have a problem with people adopting children who are already born and unwanted??? As I said to so so so so many people, if you ask any kid in foster care, that they could be adopted, have their own room. Have not only one BUT two parents, a family pet, their own room, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, maybe even sibblings, but the only a catch is, oh you'll have two mommys or daddys rather than a traditional mom and dad. I don't think the kid would care. When you think about how horrible their poor little lives are in group homes and foster care, I doubt they would even care! Theses kids need familys, not group homes.

Gay adoptionYes, contrary to popular belief, most of us aren't hillbillies. people just find it more entertaining to show those of us that are. lol anyway, i personally would rather have a child in a loving, caring, homosexual, home than stay at those foster homes. i just don't see how a few people at an orphanage can provide the love and attention neccesary for a child's growth. I'm sure there are many more emotional and psychological problems associated with kids from orphanages than those from (or those that will be from) homosexual homes. now if you'll excuse me, i have to go put on my over-alls and have sex with my sister. lolVoted for by Prufrocksface.
