Ok the title has nothing to do with my opinion. Anyway, we were made in God's image, yes, but our personalities are our own. In that case we have the right to decide what we want in our lives. We can choose to love God, or choose anything else such as self, money, kittens etc. And in the descisions we make we screw ourselves over. You must look beyond the surface. But i can sorta see why you might say that. But hey, we all choose what we believe.

If God wasn't made in your image, that is to say you couldn't recognize Him or relate to Him, sanity would be substantially more difficult. What if what we've been interpreting as "wrath" all this time wasn't an emotion so accessible to mortal beings, but something infinitely greater and infinitely more complex? This is of course within the mythos of monotheism, whereas in Indo-European theology gods represent poetic and psychic symbols rather than a real consciousness.
