Changes occur in every one's life from birth to death. Same is the case with the world at large. Anthropological and sociological researches reveal the very fact that human life and present appearance is the outcome of evolutionary changes and man of today is quite different from his forefathers. It strenthens the argue that Nature loves evolutionary changes. But many people long for revolutionary changes in life, culture and society. As so many revolutions have taken place in world at large... I also love revolution, though it costs a lot......What is your opinion???????

Revolution may jeopardise man's Present and Future, even then it is Stupendous!!!!16% Voted for by Mujtaba H Zaidi, Dancing Doll.
Revolutionary steps are great for it changes the whole scenarion of life. But man undergoes serious and severe trials by taking or facing revolution...The example of French Revolution and Great Wars is in our eyes. Sometimes revolutionary mind looks rebellion and may cause the annihilation of the whole society/culture, but its impacts and effects are really remarkable and wonderful!!!

The Tao of Evolution & RevolutionI do not believe evolution and revolution to be in opposition of each other. In fact, it is my belief that many are having revolutionary thoughts and experiences that are opening their eyes to the beautiful possibilities inherent in both themselves and our future. These revelations, if inspiration is not lost, lead to a process of consciousness expansion, which is, more or less, a form of evolution by choice. Once enough people have begun this journey of conscious evolution and start to interact, encourage, reassure, and connect with one another a truly revolutionary revolution will have been born. In turn, this revolution will encourage and expedite the evolution of civilization as a whole. As this cycle progresses, the line between evolution and revolution will be ever more smeared into a blur of change and growth.16% Voted for by Smokin Turtle, christopheshea.

If Nature has adopted evolution, then it must also be followed by the humans....evolution brings slight and effective alteration in life

we can look into revolution positively. revolution solves complicated problems in a jiffy while evolution requires years to complete..

Nature?Voted for by Auxiliar.
It was my belief that Nature no longer has a conscious plan if one posits evolution to be true.
Anyway, it appears to me that the changes in the world do not come through a supposed evolution of man and his society. Changes, especially in our time, depend on one of either popular struggle for the most part, and the changes in technology (or if you will, progression of science) that affect the means of production. To speed along the former, one would be best to adopt a doctrine of revolution. To render more efficient the latter, one would be best to adopt a doctrine of evolution.
Revolutions reverse as much as they enhance. The French Revolution brought about the most efficient secret police in Europe for years. If the American Revolution hadn't taken place, the slaves would have been emancipated by the British in 1833, and not by the Union in 1865. That is an entire generation. That is a strong enough metaphor for me.
Revolution, as Carlyle saw it, requires a sense of faith. This is true, especially in lieu of the mass of evidence against the efficacy of revolution. To abandon revolution is to abandon our capacity to faith in ourselves. Likewise, to embrace revolution is to embrace a faith that in the end may not be to our liking. But to affect real change and play a real role in politics is the very stuff of revolution. More importantly, though, it is the stuff of a society that allows a society to survive the travails of natural and military disaster.
To believe in this "evolution" here, is to concede a social contract with the capitalists whereby the individual is practically extirpated from the "evolution" of society. I say "capitalists" with deference, though I should need to say it in this manner, because capitalists innovate technology better than everyone else. Still, the concession is almost a feudal one, one that lends the capitalist dukes the dues of ones serfdom, to the effect of perpetuating evolution.
As I said at the beginning, Evolution does not have a consciousness. It is purely affected by the material conditions surrounding it. There is as much reason to defer to evolution as there is to only love food that you grew up with, or to defer to a god merely because it's a family tradition.
Don't you ever believe that there is a one theory of looking at the change in society! Look at thought models, and compare them, but don't do to yourself what such thinking has done through history to the African continent and the native peoples of the world and to the still powerless in the world whose hope needn't be anything but boundless. One piece of advice amid all the sophistry - do whatever allows you to reasonably hope for the world you live in!
