string theory

this is the latest theory of physics regarding the origin of the universe and and the existince of other parallel universes. It is the theory that joins the big and the small.

  • Not a new theory

String theory has been around since 1968 when Gabrielle Veneziano first applied amplitude to Leonhard Euler's Gamma function (which had been around since the 16th century). A few years later Leonard Susskind first proposed that the amplitude curiosity that came from Veneziano's formula was it define energy meeting with, (or becomming) matter along a vibrating axis. The theory has come a long way since then and some of the brightest and most intellegent physicists have given it mathematical validation. I am a big proponent of this theory and believe that our technilogical advancements will eventually allow us as a race to see proof of this mathematical elegance in the lab. Right now there is no other proof of strings other than the mathematical correctness that comes from these equations. I recommend every one watch the Nova Special "The elegant Universe" or read the book of the same name by Brian Greene. I have read this book many times and have taken several Quantum Physics classes at the University of Utah trying to get a grasp on the equations of this "Theory of Everything" One last thing, Ed Whitten advanced this theory so far in 1995 that it has been renamed in the Quantum communities as "M" theory
