I still believe in God partly cuz i grew up in a family that tought me to believe, but also partly because He saved my life. In more than one way. Yes there is the whole asking him into my heart and stuff but He really did save my life. Thats why i still believe. And my uncle should have died in a car accident, but he made it.

Truth doesn't exist. Modernists through their rigor disproved that most anything is allegedly true, starting with Euclidean Geometry and going on now through Thomas Kuhn and Jacques Derrida (Dec.). To look for truth and logic is irrational as we know it. If we wish to hope in the same manner we sought truth, if we wish to continue civilization as we know it, we need some irrational resistance to the _differance_. If it be God, that helps, because it's been established for centuries. If it be something else, then it's tough roads ahead for the trailblazers.

Pathetic
Why dont you be honest and just say you have no concrete reason and the only reason you believe is because its easier than accepting certain truths. Like without a god you have to actually think about the unexplainable and accept that certain things happen completely by chance. You have to actually come up with your own morals and question everything that you are. Be honest and say its too hard to do, you dont have the stregnth. Its easier to shut your mind and scream loudly "IT WAS GOD!!".November 25, 2007
