Why are women thought to be less then men?

Women are not treated as fairly as men in my opinion. We have to fear sexuale harrasment in the work place far more then men, and once married it's as if you suddenly gave all your rights to your husband. Women should be a bit more appreciated since it is us who give life to children, dosen't that count for something?

    I don't think that women are neccisarily thought of as to be less than men, but I do however believe that male favortism is evident in today's society. For example: it is a proven fact. Women tipically get paid less than men do. Not ALL the time, but MOST of the time. If a man and a woman are employed at the exact same time ,working for example at a school as a teacher, generally, in 5 years time of working, the man will be earning a higher sallary than the woman.Why? I'm not too sure. I would really like to know though and straighten this problem out. I personally don't see it as fair, but who said anything was EVER fair! My best guess would be because a long time ago, women were not thought of as equals to men. Everyone knows this. But I think we should learn from our past, and realize that that's not right. We are all equal, no matter our race, gender, or anything else. That's just my opinion though. I know someone will want to diagree with me. And you know what? That's fine with me. We have a right to disagree with one another.

  • the tv test

    while your post could have been true about the 1950s. it is hardly the norm today. if you don't believe me a small homework assignment watch the tv. programs you would normaly watch and take note of how meny times men are portrade in an unfavorable light ie. stupid, womanisers, drunks, dimwitted jocks or just lazy if you still think woman are not treated fairly then watch some commercials.

    because women are techinquely smaller, and weaker than men. put it this way people - _we are animals_ plain and simple. the women do not need to be stronger and bigger because they are the ones that, if left to nature, pick their mates. hey, dont get me wrong women but i bet you like strong, muscular men with shiny hair and glistening skin don't ya? i bet the obese, weak man with the oily, flat hair and the sweaty skin discusting.

    did you know that male k-9 teeth are sharper than a females? if you didnt, look at your mates teeth, womans are more rounded, duller, than a males

    did you also know - in nature the male is aways more "pretty" than a female. you can see it in peacocks, gorilla's, pheasants, deer, elk, moose, cariboo (or for our UK readers - Rainedeer) ect ect.

    the male must show off for the female and hopefully win her over into picking him. it is with animals as it is with humans, we are one and the same.

    sorry for all of you who dont want to believe it.

    its basically because women have always been thought as weaker and not as good as men ! women have always been the ones to stay at home, cook , clean and look after the kid, and before that everything shows it really ..i mean god apprantly made Adam first.. i mean why didnt he make Eve first?? lol and as someone else has said, better pay, most often better jobs and also things like women sleep around were called whores or sluts men sleep around they get a pat on the back!!! drives me insane!! lol And the human race is called MANkind ...i mean what the hell!!

  • Simpler Than You'd Think

    Here's my lowdown: women aren't less than men, they're only as low as men are themselves. Believe me, this may sound sexist at first, but that is definitely not the intention or meaning behind these words (keep in mind that this is just me here, as well):

    The basic nature of the man is: will, & the basic nature of the woman is: willingness. Women and men aren't better than the other in my opinion, they're interconnected. Each has the other's strength and the other's weakness with only the difference that I listed in the preceding sentence. If men are always after sexual conquest and the sheer pleasure of sexual intercourse, won't the woman feel overpowered by men's sexual hostility and find the only necessary solution to be the ebb and flow? This is obviously noticeable, but it doesn't start that way. Women and men are both individual thinkers with individual natures, but one must help the other's reputation if anything is to succeed between sexist feuds. Close curtain...
