offensive isn't it?

on these comidian shows like the chapell show there's certain things that just cross the line: Like the violense torwards children. I saw an episode where a baby( fake of course) got taken from its mothers arms and kicked. Isn't that a bit too far for any comidian?

Violence towards childreb? I agree that ain't funny. The thing is, some people will find it funny. With every comedian you will find some people who love 'em, and some who hate 'em. Even the comedians I like say and do some things I dislike. It may go too far sometimes, but that's your judgement. Other people will say differently.

  • Tragicomedy

One problem that comedians face is the fact that many people are bound to one of either take his material out of context, or to take the context but disregard it. Context, or lack thereof, is like the Theos ek Machina is to tragedy; the theos ek machina allows the gods to forgive the bloodshed and insanity of the characters in the tragedy and admit their human error. This is especially problematic for those who enjoy the joke, but take it into the wrong context, that is, real life. "Taking it too far" is the act of exploring new regions, and then having the act become the manifestation of the audience's already warped stupidity.
