2012Voted for by justonewish.
There are predictions made by ancient cultures (such as the Mayans and Egyptians) that the world will end in 2012. Well, there are slight discrepancies on this.. some say 2025, some go as far as 2200-2300. This could definitely refer to judgement and the apocalypse.
But when the so-called apocalypse happens, that may not destroy all life/humans/whatever. Some scientists think that an event such as this could bring about the end of humanity; some think it could bring about improvements in the way our bodies work (life spans of 150-200 years, for example). If you think of the apocalypse or “end of the world” in a scientific fashion, you will realize that there have been apocalypses in the history of the earth. Such as the beginning of the Ice Age. And the end of the Ice Age. There was mass extinction and drastic changes at both of those times.
Well that’s just something to think about. But back to the original argument.. If Jesus does return, it should be soon – within 10 to 100 years perhaps – according to prophecies from ancient cultures, and also according to the book of Revelations (from what I’ve heard of it).

We don't need that HE comes back!!!Voted for by Paradise Lost.
Another question: Will we recognize him when he comes back?? I don't know. Because he was unique and all his actions during his lifetime were unique for his centurie. In a time of corruption and hatred he brought the idea of love and forgiveness back into the world. But what if we are blind to recognize him because we are to eager to find him in one person? But what if "he" is in everything even in you?! Because we all know the idea of love and forgiveness. Another hint: Dostojewski once wrote a story in a story. He added the story of HIS return in his novel 'The Brothers Karamasov' . The short version goes like this: Jesus arrives in a Spanish village in the middle ages. The pope arrests him because he is afraid that his appeareance would bring the whole catholic church down. The only thing that Jesus did after their conversation, which actually just contains the pope, is that HE gives him a kiss on his forehead and than he disappeares. This shows that religion is just an instrument which you can use either to oppress people or to give them a lesson in hmanity. This example contains a hugh critizm against the Catholic church. Back to your question: We don't need that Jesus comes back because HE is everywhere and nowhere like Buddha!

When Santa Claus brings himVoted for by Cosmic Rose.
or the Easter Bunny lays an egg with him in it. Or... when the tooth fairy puts him under my pillow in exchange for a BAAAAD tooth. If the guy could in fact return again WHY WOULD HE? The natives aren't very friendly here and I'm sure he hasn't forgot what happened the last time he walked the earth. THE DUDE WAS CRUCIFIED for crying out loud. Doesn't look as if he did much to curtail sin. Just goes to show that blood isn't enough for some... they want him to come back so they can string the guy up again for blaspheming their notions of God and religiosity.
Now if you would have said CHRIST... that would be a different response all together.

The misunderstandingVoted for by unicornw7w20.
Hey, i think it depends on who is asking the question. For a person who does not believe in GOD it does not matter whatever the philosophy or evidence. But for those who believe in scriptures and common sense it is evident Jesus will be back as it is written in The Noble Qur'an and The Holy Bible scriptures. I am not sure what vedas say about him. But according to above mentioned he will come back to clear the mis understanding that is caused. He was the only messenger of GOD who was believed to claim divinity by his followers or maybe some followers and so he would come back to redefine his purpose that he preached not what people have assumed but that GOD is not He but someone else, more elegent and undescribable energy and the creator. Also he never has uttered the word 'Christianity' in the bible but it has existed iin dictionaries as having some other meaning. And jesus will come back just to clear this mis understanding that he was hence the messenger of Allah and the concept of trinity is not valid. Time is not to be known as it is not mentioned. But purpose is mentioned and is the only important thing. Trinity is not mentioned anywhere in Bible but it has been mentioned in Qur'an where Allah has called it a Sin. Hence the purpose of jesus's return(Peace be upon him) will be to clear these misunderstandings

Question When is Jesus coming backVoted for by Jackle.
Jesus is coming back soon in my opinion and what the Bible says before Jesus comes. Jesus said “No man knows when I will return but the Father.” If I did not know Jesus, I would be learning all I can on sin and what I can do to be saved from Hell. Why learning? He may not come in my life but I want to know my children, and their children, and children’s children will someday join me in Heaven. So I think it won’t be long but in my opinion, I think Jesus is so loving He waits on people to come to Him. Just one educated opinion(_)
