Icky-americans

  • I may disagree with you, but I'l stand up for your right!

Personally, I do not agree the with idea of homosexuallity. But that's me. Why? Well because in God's eyes it's a sin. It's not the way God meant marrigae and love to be. If it was, then He would have said so in the Bible. Don't believe the Bible? Well that's your choice. But I will not go out of my way to stop gays or gay marrige. This is America people! What happened to: I may disagree with your opinion, but I will deffend to my death your right to have it! That's what I think about th USA! We need to stop trying to control the way other people live. Everyone has a choice as to how they live, and a right to that choice. I could understand stopping it if it was something that would hurt someone else or themselves, but seriously. What the heck are two gay guys gonna do to me. Nothing. I may disagree with gays, but I will defend to my death they're right to be gay! That's my opinion.

  • FROM ONE OUT STANDING HUMAN BEING TO ANOTHER

Wisdomsearch, some thoughts from an homosexual who can't seem to find the closet. YOU HAVE THE FREEDOM TO DO THE THINGS YOU DESCRIBED IN OUR SOCIETY, BUT YOU DON’T HAVE THE RIGHT TO FORCE ME TO APPROVE OR ACCEPT IT. I don’t want your approval or acceptance. All I want is your indifference. Should I walk down your street holding my “friends” hand I neither expect you to applaud or hassle us. Just wave and wish us a good morning or do nothing. In addition, I will show you and yours the same curtsey. YOU DON’T HAVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE YOUR ISSUE CARRYING ON THE CENTER OF ATTENTION WHEN THERE ARE ISSUES THAT EFFECT OUR VERY SURVIVAL AS A CULTURE AT STAKE. My post only took up a few inches of space I didn’t know that I was endangering the western world. Ps. I called Condi and George and told them to concentrate on the war and stop reading my posts, problem solved. IN SOME COUNTRIES HOMOSEXUALITY WAS PUNISHABLE BY DEATH. No sir it still is. A group of homosexuals had there heads sawed of in Iran a few weeks ago. One of the goals of my humble scribbling is that this sort of thing does not happen here. I like my head (such as it is) where it is. I DO NOT BELIEVE IN ANY SUCH THING. Oh joy; you don’t know how relieved I am. FORCING PEOPLE TO LIKE SOMETHING THEY FEEL IS WRONG IS WRONG. I couldn’t agree more! I am not trying to force you to do any thing, only to educate. At the end of the day, you will like what you will. YOU ONLY CREATE ANIMOSITY WHICH WILL FESTER AND EXPLODE INTO VIOLENCE DOWN THE ROAD. Lets hope not, however if it does violence can be a two way street. (Look at me I’m turning positively butch!!!)THERE HAS TO BE A CONSENSUS ON MATTERS OF MORALITY…yes and I’m trying to tip the scales in my favor. As I think, are you. IF I WALKED DOWN THE STREET NAKED, THEY WOULD LOOK ASKANCE AT ME. I think they have implants for that now. As I told you before my goal is to educate. I HOLD SOME BELIEFS THAT MANY PEOPLE WOULD FIND DIFFICULT TO ACCEPT, AND I DON’T PARADE THEM AROUND SO PEOPLE CAN ATTACK ME. Than they are nothing and you live in your own closet. Give me a hundred honest enemies rather than one false friend. THE MOST BOTHERSOME THING ABOUT THE HOMOSEXUAL DEBATE IS THE DEGREE IT IS BEING FORCED DOWN THE THROATS OF PEOPLE. If I or other gay people chose to be silent than nothing would change. By the way, we have tried the whole hiding in the shadows thing no one lets us stay there. Some politician or preacher always drags us out when they need a whipping boy or campaign contributions. I DID NOT COME TO APPRECIATE BLACKS BECAUSE OF QUOTAS AND LAWS THAT FORCED EQUAL OPPORTUNITY, BUT BECAUSE I MET AND WORKED WITH SOME SUPERIOR BLACKS AND FOUND OUT THAT THEY WERE OUTSTANDING HUMAN BEINGS. I would point out to you that you would have never have met or worked with these outstanding human beings if it not for laws and quotas. What modest equality blacks have managed to wrestle out of the system was built on the graves of outstanding human beings such as Malcolm X, meager Evers and Martin Luther King. All people who were sick of the system and let it be known. MAKE THE CENTER OF YOUR FOCUS ON BEING AN OUTSTANDING HUMAN BEING. I already am both in my totally unbiased opinion.

  • Wrong focus

You have the freedom to do the things you described in our society, but you do not have the "freedom" to force me to approve or accept it. You do not have the right to force my children to approve of or accept it. And you don't have the right to make your issue of carrying on in this fashion the center of attention when there are issues that effect our very survival as a culture at stake.

In some countries homosexuality was punishable by death. I do not believe in any such thing. Homosexuality is not the worst thing on EArth, in my view and if a person thinks he must struggle to find his road in that way with someone who feels the same way so be it. But tolerating it is not the same thing as accepting it. Forcing people to like something they don't like and feel is wrong, is wrong. You only create resentment and animosity which will fester and explode in violence down the road.

There has to be consensus on matters of morality, or it is an imposed morality, with no support from the people. Forcing people to institutionalize and accept something they loath is wrong.

You say you "fear" telling your friend you love him, yet you CAN do it in our society. You will not be imprisoned or killed for it. People may look at you askance. But if I decided to walk down the street naked they would look askance at me. But looking askance or even calling you a name is not being treated like a murderer and a thief. WE have laws that protect you, but I tell you if you try to make it the law to approve of homosexuality the result in the long run will be violence, because average people will not stand for it. Please consider this.

I hold some beliefs that many people would find difficult to accept, and I do not parade them around so people can attack me for them. I believe they are valid beliefs or I would not hold them, but some people are just not able to comprehend them and I do my beliefs a disservice by trying to make everyone accept them. If you are truly right about homosexuality and you are ahead of most people, understand that imposing what you think on everyone else is not the way to advance your point of view. I do not share your view at all and I would not want my children being taught by you, but the most bothersome thing about the homosexual debate is the degree to which it is being forced down the throats of people.

I felt forcing people to accept racial equality was a mistake, because I thought it would happen naturally over time anyway. I know many would disagree, but in my own experience I did not come to appreciate blacks because of quotas or laws that forced equal opportunity, but because I met and worked with some superior blacks and found out they were outstanding human beings.

Make the center of your focus on being an outstanding human being, not being gay. That will do your cause the most good if it is truly a valid cause.

  • ICKY- AMERICANS

what the ---- does it matter if being gay is a choice or not? Am I not an American? Do we still have ideals? Am I not by the very fact that I am an American entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Or should I by the very fact that I am gay be denied life like a murderer, or liberty and the pursuit of happiness like a thief who would brake into your house and steal your processions. I realize that some straight people find being gay “icky” and that’s ok. I find some straight people icky. Shouldn’t the fullest measure of civil rites be the default standard unless I prove that I can not handle them? I would ask you one more question if I am to be denied basic civil rites for inkiness. what else do you find icky? Should we have a debate on what the majority find icky? Than outlaw it? why stop at being gay? Please note that I am not JUST talking about gay marriage. But the little things that makes life and love worthwhile like taking a walk while holding my partners hand. Giving him a kiss after a long separation at the airport or visiting him in the hospital. Why should I fear to do any of these things? And yes why should I not be allowed to declare my love for him publicly and have my country recognize it? So at the risk of all out ickines EDDIE I LOVE YOU!!!
