  Of course not.

  I think about killing people every day. As a matter of fact, I am thinking about killing the person in front of me right now. All he does is cough, and blow his snot filled nose. He has been doing this for the past four years. Cough, blow, cough, and blow. Over, and over, and over. Day after day, after day. Till finally... SNAP. I stick my fist through the back of his head, and pull the tissue box that is on his desk back through the hole. Then I use a tissue to remove the blood, snot and brain matter from my fist and arm. The nice lady next to me screams and calls the police. They arrive shortly and yell and point there guns at me. But I’m not scared no way. I have seen the Matrix. So I yell back, “SCREW YOU COPPERS!!” I jump out the office window, and land in a swimming pool filled with green Jell-O. I get out and I am surrounded by 20 beautiful naked women begging to have sex with me… Uh, sorry. I have to go, by boss is yelling at me… L8R.

  Unless you want to plunge us all into a 1984-esque society, you should be free to think whatever you want. If you actually act on those thoughts, well, that's your own problem, and you hand yourself and most of your rights on over to the law. Really, though, if you think about it, there's no way anyone can tell if you're thinking about killing them. So, as long as you don't actually try to kill them, what does it really matter?

  Its perfectly normal to think about killing people. Whether or not you do it is the problem. Its a way to release frustration and if it isnt normal then can someone help pay for the mental insitution I now have to go to? I dont know anyone who hasnt thought about killing someone and if you say you havent your probably lying.

  their is nothing at all wrong with that, and if DWN is under the assumetion that people are atcually supposed to believe that he hasn't had a murderous thought in his life he is either dellusional or purpetually manic

  If you venture into metaphysics, you will find good answers for the question you posed... but for the discursive nature of our discussion let me suggest that you are practically right. Lets expand and dig deeper to find why?
  
  For instance..... (this is a very simple example) When I am travelling or trekking to a highland area into a hilly valley for the first time in my life, the new vista, space and topography (hills, vegetations, beauty, order, eco-system, i.e the physical environment) gives me new knowledge.
  
  This new knowledge is what makes us feel: exhilarating, beautiful, joyful, aesthetically pleasings, loveliness etc... this newness is liberating. It is intoxicating. It means that new knowledge pushes the old knowledge into memory. Thats what makes us happy, enjoyfull, destressing.(Psychological).
  
  Now, although this new knowledge performs in temporality..... it brings us in conflict with old knowldge, perception, dogmas, view points (u know history, myths, tourist guide book photographs and literature). Thus it triggers the innate curiosity to know 'more'. this is what shackles you down.
  
  now this is the syndrome that we often see in Philosophers and seekers than in the general tourist. And so, i believe it is in all walks and minds of life.

  And I follow his teachings when ever possible but heres the catch I resist the use of violance for myself accept for survival(I think they might kill me) however in the aid of someone else I use what ever force gets the job.
  
  heres why. say some women,guy,kid,girl, whatever is being attacked. When I say attacked I don't mean some "you where hittin' on my girlfriend" kind of attack, I mean like the attacker is intending to kill or do perminant damage. I'm not going to go over and try to peacefully prosuade them to stop or stand there and let him beat me.
  
  If I stand there and let him beat me the attacker onced finished with me can then continue attacking the other person. Talking that probably is not going to work. You see my problem with it is in those scenarios you decision on violance and none violance doesn't just effect you it effects the other person. Its like saying "sorry I wish I could punch that guy and try to get him off of you but I'm a pacifist so I'm going to try to talk him down"
  
  I like Gahdi but its hard to fallow if you don't have millions of people to back you up.

    Now to the point you seem to raise. Infact, you have expressed the most misunderstood philosophy of the Great Soul. Many in the west and elsewhere are being fed wrong notions of this 'naked fakir' (mendicants,english meaning). This Common Man had seen three wars, two of them being the infamous world wars, and the third was the Boer War where he had participated as a volunteer.
    
    Gandhi was a fearless man. Now to say that is not a simple thing. He has always encouraged 'bravery', 'courage' 'fearlessnes' against injustice, subjugation and inhumanity in general.
    
    One of his famous quotes are..." It is far better to be violent, than being a coward.' ..... please understand the implication of this message. For the example you stated, he gives you a solution.
    
    As for taking violence to the extent of killing, he says "Better far than cowardice is killing and being killed in battle"
    
    So you see, he infact suggest killing under certain conditions and circumstances.... Hope your Morality is less of a burden, now.
    
    But does he approve of killing or the violence inherent in it, he warns us by "I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent."

    Yes...for a romantist it is great to be willingly ignorant ..... i always think of the simple village folkes here in India..... I love their ignorance.... it is truly bliss...but u know, this perception is for the outsider, like the traveller like myself. Like for instance, in a countryside, i would like to write poetry looking at the rural life going by, sitting over cliffs and seeing the valleys and villages down on the river banks....... but, snap your self, and you find yourself in the 21st century....you ask them, the rural folkes , and they will blurt out a series of hardships and troubles they face in everyday life....you know without electricity, water supply, extreme weather conditions, food security, health care etc etc. Thsi seems to stretch the subject a bit too far, but 'ignorance' of practical life is foolishness. Like in the above instance, the 'murderous' thought needs disciplining. Otherwise it is life threatening (pun) both for self and others.
    
    So apple...here is the point. "journey's of life' is itself a journey from 'ignorance to knowledge' ...it may be a folly to think it is not.... we, humans and all life forms are continuosly and consciously, subconsciously and perhaps unconsciously collecting new informations.... it is only the various constraints of life like child care, parenthood, culture, schooling, job etc that keeps us ignorant but yes and ironicaly these are also the sources of knowledge...but limited knowledge...
    Philosophically..... it is this paradox of an intellectual life that you are enjoying.
    So keep the smile (and smiley's) coming.

  it is a question that is strange, to me at least, but is wisdom and knowledge liberating or imprisoning? Does knowledge set you free or shackle you down?
  
  I think knowledge may only set you free from some restraints and shackle you down to others.

  Yes Indeed...... He, neither does his followers call him/self GOd, unlike other many mortals who in history and in present times claim themselves to be 'GOD', God's messenger or kins of GoD. He simply is a wise old man. Thanks for that reminder.
