Contraception and Abortion

Abortion is just the cancellation of potential life. Where have you heard this description before? Maybe, whilst learning about contraception.

In these modern days, using a condom or "the pill" kills potential life just as much as abortion does. So, if you want to outlaw abortion, one must outlaw contraception.

Given, some may use it for protection of disease, but that's just a bullet on a long list of reasons.

Contraception being the top one. So, why are we classifying these two so separately when they're basically the same thing?

    "Abortion is just the cancellation of potential life" Excuse me but what is potential about it? It’s growing, its heartbeat is pumping, and by the time you even realize your pregnant it can already feel pain. It’s hard for something to be a potential life when something is already growing. My question is what declassifies a fetus to be less than humane? You’re making an awfully big assumption and risk by making that statement.

    They're obviously different. My current stance is pro-choice, but abortion is easily one of the most confusing gray areas of morality. Even though I am pro-choice, I would never substitute constant abortions over standard protection.

    I do not agree with the word potential at all. I believe it is life. And, instead of cancellation I prefer the word murder. The ending of a life and the beginning of a life are not the same things. Hhhuumm...other than that I agree with you.....LOL.

  • I agree to a certain extent.
    I am on the pill to clear up my skin and regulate and lighten my menstrual cycles. I hope no one thinks I am contradicting my previous abortion posts, because I don't mean to. I believe that it is wrong to abort a fetus of any stage, after the sperm and the egg have met and the fertilization has complete. I am not taking life, I am preventing it from coming into existance.

    I think abortion is cruel to someone who doesn't have a voice. It's like murdering a blind, deaf, mute little child.

  • ok lets take this a little further,

    If your not going to outlaw abortion , then why put limits on it as to age or developmental stages, abort anyone you see as an obsticle to your goals, your boss, your teachers, your parrents,your banker, the meter reader, the law inforcement agents, just abort em, God help you if some one sees you as a threat though, get real!!
