The ultimate authority on our Christian God is the bible. The bible specifically states that homosexuality is a sin. However, it is the sin that God hates, not the sinner. In approximately 1,000 years, you will have the opportunity to accept God's ways without the influence of Satan, as he will be locked up. It is not a question of heaven or hell. If, at that time, you reject God's ways, you will be mercifully, quickly destroyed. If you accept His ways and His rules, you will have the unbelievable potential to live eternally in peace. There is no hell. The words in Hebrew and Greek in the bible that are represented as hell actually mean the grave. The wages of sin is death. No loving God would want His children to live in eternal torment. Death is a better, more merciful alternative. Because God has given you the freedom to sin (if that is your choice), He did not give you freedom from sin. No one is guiltless of some sin. In the bible, God repeatedly asks us to repent (turn from our evil ways and live by His rules). But He will not force us. God wants us to become His spiritual children, living and working with Him for eternity. To do that, we must develop perfect, holy, righteous character. He cannot create it by fiat. With His help and His Holy Spirit, we must bring ourseleves as far along that process as possible and if we have done all we can, upon His return He will impute His righteousness to us. True Christians will not try to change you, but given the opportunity they will and should inform you of the truth. I assume you are an adult and should know right from wrong. The problem is that in this permissive society human nature and political correctness have combined to blur what is right and what is wrong. The soon return of Jesus will rectify that situation. Don't hate God, He doesn't hate you. (P.S. You can live any religion you want, but there is only one right God and one right way to worship Him. It is in the bible and any other way is wrong).Dwn

this whole statement is pretty much untrue.If you are a child of God,you cannot go to hell, reguardless of what you might do, fact is God saw homosexuality as an abomination,it was not the only thing he saw this way, but he forgave even the abominable that were his. Knowing the sacrifice that was required to do this, I personaly have no desire to offer eather suport or tollerance for those who choose to live in a maner so distastefull to one who gave so much. What I would like to know is why homosexuality is singled out and placed above all other sins ??? Lying is a sin right? So is stealing, adultery, blasphemy and countless others. Why can two people get divorced and not hear a word from the surrounding Christians ?. Why can somebody steal from another person but they are not called to be put to death like homosexual?. Does the bible have a points scale from 1 to 10!. But rather an abomination. Blashpeming against the Holy Spirit is considered by many to mean a non-compliance to come out of sin and an unwillingness to follow God. It is rejecting the power of the Holy Spirit and being unwilling to let it lead us, but rather choose our own will above that of God's (and what God's may possibly be). This is why homosexuality could be regarded as the worst possible sin (although sin is sin, it is an unforgivable one). Not the act of homosexuality, but an unwillingness to come out of one's state. Regardless of whether or not homosexuality is a sin, many homosexuals are willing to deny God no matter what because they believe themselves to be right and just in what they are doing, or more so, they just want to continue with a desired lifestyle.September 15, 2006

Being "Gay" is not a choice or a "desired life style" as you choose to put it. And that's where I think the problem lies. I have a friend that almost killed himself because he was gay and couldn't come out for years. He said he wished he could take a pill and become "normal" like everybody else. Trying to supress his true nature sent him into a spiral of depression. Later in life he came out of the closet and is now much happier in himself. It's no good supressing emotions they will only manifest themselves and come out the wrong way. I'm sure most Christians feel homosexuals are living a chosen lifestyle. People are born gay. A man being atracted to another man is as bioligical as a man that is atracted to a woman.frndofyaweh

Different Interpretations
The thing is that the "Six Gay Verses" (Sodom and Gormorrah, Leviticus, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Cornithians 6:9-10, 1 Timothy something, and Jude 6) can be interpreted in many different ways. And I believe you can be gay and Christian, (I know personally) and you could still practice it and not be condemned...Romans 8:1: "There is no condemnation awaiting those who belong to Christ Jesus." Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of eternal life is free through Jesus Christ our Lord." Ephesians (can't remember verse): "It is by faith you are saved...not by works, so no one can boast." We still sin after receiving grace as humans, for we are humans. But we are forgiven for what Jesus has done. No sin sends a believer to Hell, except for the Unforgivable Sin...rejection of the cross of Christ. How a believer could do such a thing is beyond me.October 18, 2006
