I think that one of those many other effects of 9/11 other than thousands of merciless deaths was that it turned America into Israel. Far right politics tries to convince us that the inconvenient oppositions to the administration are "Anti-American", just as the far right in Israel, and occasionally Haaretz, has labeled the non-violent activists and the Refuseniks as "Anti-Semitic." The methods of the secular, predatory, oppressive administrations of the Israeli government became applicable to America after 9/11. These policies are in no way worse than the deaths of innocent Americans, but if we can learn about the former with the latter in mind, we can prevent the worst parts of both.
Give me your opinions please, and let's please not make the mistake of linking Zionism with anything religious.

I don’t believe 9/11 turned America into Israel. Rather, I think 9/11 transformed America into a semi-fascist state thanks to Bush and his friends. 9/11 provided the American plutocracy an opportunity to use fear as a means of concentrating more wealth and power for themselves. They have greater control with the patriot act and they have earned 300 billion dollars in sales to keep the Iraq war going. The average American, on the other hand, has lost part of his freedom and will eventually be the one who pays for the Iraq war. By its greed and avarous behavior, this tiny elite of American plutocrats have exploited the cheap labor and natural resources of other countries. This is what generates the anti-American feeling among people in other countries. Consequently, America is perceived as a rich and dangerous predator that threatens and abuses other nations.

And much of it was because of their own doing. Do I care? I will tell you later.

She never was the land of the free
At the time that law is instilled, choice is removed. We have traded choice for a leader to make decisions for us. "There are none more so enslaved than those who truly believe they are free," -- Albert Einsteinmudgod

The source does matter
dwn, If I should go to a farm and put hay in the front end of a cow what should I expect to get out of the other end. Likewise if I go to a web site titled George Bush is the Anti-Christ that is funded by the DNC. Should I expect to find anything there that even remotely resembles the truth?Dwn

Law binds. Where there is law, there is no true freedom. Freedom from "sin" is a life bound to law.
