I may be wrong but I think he is still underage at 17. You might want to check this out. You should first find out if you are actually pregnant. You could start with one of those test kits at the drug store. If so, you will have to tell your mom because it is something you can't hide and at your age you will need adult support. It is a bad idea to be sexually active without protection. If you can't abstain from copulation, you should try to get on birth control. Also, there are ways for two people to be physically intimate without risking pregnancy. You are too young to mess up your life.

Also I knew someone who tried to hide her pregnancy she did a great job until she went into labour.
My point, if you are pregnant honey it's for real so you need your mum, she's been there. Yeah she's gonna be really pissed at you but she'll get over it and when she does you'll have a friend to talk to.
Like nanrek said firstly you need to see if your worrying about nothing.

Now for some real advice:Voted for by frndofyaweh.
Your best option is to confirm it and then come clean with it. Seek legal council, you will have confidential rights and may be surprised at the help for your situation. If this 17 year really loves you, then he should be absolutely willing, to make a sacrifice of any kind to make this mistake right again, or as right as possible at this point.

what state do you live in? cause i know in canada, the age of consent is 14, so if you live in canada, and various states, your bf wouldnt be put in jail. but there are other options, couse you should find out ifyou are pregnant first before ya do anything. if you go to a doctor, they cannot tell your mother if you are pregnant or not, always a plus. and if you arent pregnant, well, no harm.

First off, the legal age of consent in most states is sixteen, and it's highly likely that your boyfriend will go to jail for knocking you up. That being said, do you trust your mother to not tell police? Do you think he would be a good father if you are pregnant? How long do you think he will stick around if you tell him? Should he be exempt from the law because you love him? If he does go to jail, what will that do to the child you might have? Are you planning on having an abortion (I really hope not, but I won't go into my detailed opinion on that) if you are pregnant? There are a lot of things you need to ask yourself, little missy, before you do anything. Also, I agree with the other gals about finding out if you are at all.

You Are Worried About the WRONG PersonVoted for by david13.
Forget about you bf getting arrested. Love yourself first. Do what you want, but first make a choice: pregnancy or abortion. THAT is YOUR choice. The law has said that. The U.S. law is the highest word. You can make that choice. Think about it and go with what your gut tells you, not your heart because you know very little about love at this point.
If you've made the choice to have a baby then tell your best friend to tell your mom. Advise your friend that you are scared as it is, and a screaming mother wouldn't make it any better; so advise your friend that you asked her to tell her because you love your mom and that you knew that if you told her first she would react in a fierce manner that would emit unfair anger and hatred, and that you love your mother so much that you didn't want her to regret her screaming at you when her grandchild was in you listening.
The world is beautiful. A child is beautiful. Love your child. RESPECT him/her. It is a 50/50 relationship. You can't be a dictator. Teach your child. You will make mistakes. That is okay. Be easy and gentle on yourself. If you start all your actions with the mind wanting to love then whatever "mistakes" you make are automatically forgiven by God.
Best Wishes. You have a beautiful life to look forward to. A very exciting life with a baby that will teach you more about love than you can teach it.
