What are your thoughts on the more artistic and romantic side of the darkest way out?

The Art of Dark Dances40% Voted for by Muriel, WolfStar or Ash, nays-lil-boat, Hamumori.
Suicide to me is a glorious exit, a way to go out swinging, a brilliant escape from the desires and needs that plague human existance. The only ones who fear sucicide or fear death are those who are not secure in thier beliefs. You don't need to love yourself to do that. I am what my psychiatrist called a multi-attempt suicide. It is actually her belief that i will someday succeed. I have been arround death all my life. I lost a friend to suicide, My uncle died in front of me in a bloody mess, and I lost a child to a miscarraige. But I only see it as my loss, death is a friend, an angel, a god even. The only controll we have over death is how we meet him. I intend for my death to be my masterpiece, my single greatest work of art... And there are many who see death as I do. But, death is my lover, and if I ever chance to meet him, I think I shall marry him. Suicide is the cowboy riding into the sunset, the dramatic beautiful flare when a gorgeous being heads out alone into the great unknown. Suicide is the art of the living dead.

suicide bombers romantisise it. As you said, it is all about control. Give up control while you're still alive. You then might find life worth living.

I dont20% Voted for by Dwn, Applehead.
I dont see anything romantic about it at all, I see it as very self centered and selfish, sure life is tuff, so what , are you gonna go and do something to make it tuffer on those who love you , while you lay in the dirt thoughtless. There is nothing artistic about rotting stinking flesh

Have you lived a fulfilling life?Voted for by Applehead.
So do you not appreciate the beauty of life that is the cowboy riding off into the sunset. Admire the afterlife yes but don't forget to appreciate the finer things while your here. I mean why waste it.

Mental instability??
I am quite mentally stable. PLease do not insult my intelligence. Tis meerly my outlook on life darling… A twisted, demented, repulsive life of endless nightmares – So beautiful in thier own grotesque way…. But sanity is not something I lack. So please, do not insult me, there are better ways to state your oppinions…TeChNoWC

bad, bad comment. shame on you.
anyway muriel's is the best option. i read a satanic text ages ago on the pursuit of narcissism that applies here, that the best suicide is the one in which you become an enigma.of course, suicide is fascism, and the idea that a fascist act can be an artistic one is immediately repugnant. there are things that can exist within you that you cannot know yet, so to perform an act which you cannot follow up is to limit yourself too much. try to reopen yourself to something outside your control.

Ah! Romance!
*sighs* boy do we need therapists in this room. Good thing my mom is a pyschology major....art is suicide? and suicide is art? What happened to finger painting! Ah, the dreams, so grotestque, so sick, so demented, so beautiful in their own evil little ways....yea....sure! I'll believe that load. I'm not attempting to insult your intelligence here, but COME ON! Since when is suicide a way out in a romantic sense. Let's take a look at some huge suicide cases. Elvis...oh yeah baby, really glam. Died on the toilet....yep, that's what I call going out swinging! Hitler! Hail, hail! Right in the furor's face! Cynide? Puh-lease! Alright, let's kill a million or so Jews, being half Jew yourself on your mom's side...then when the americans come in and bust your sorry ass bubble, let's take you and your girlfriend at the time into the little back room. Let's drink, doll, some of this here poison...hmmm...'k. Yeah...real romantic. What? Did they claspt hands and have Meat Loaf orgasms before they died? Yeah, I'm sure. If the dreams and the imagination carry you so far away from the wittle earth that you cling to in your life, are that bad...and sick, and demented, and I forgot the rest of the adjectives you used...then do yourself a favor and complete that romantic ass dream of yours. I'll probably read in some paper of where you died, and what ya did...and I'm sure that everyone, those you love the most of course, will find that so utterly romantic, they'll all follow you. If they aren't grieving their hearts out over your stupid selfish ass.October 27, 2006

It's all about perception....
I agree with Aidenn. Suicide is the easy escape the world's deceptions and sufferings, and that "the most macabre subject known to man" is the path of cowards. Macabre Subject? please, who are you trying to deceive besides yourself, suicide is not a big deal to the ones not related to the recently death... people die every second... so what? are you telling me that you actually suffer with every last breath of those who die? We all die, like every other living creature ever existed... it's not right to dispose of something that actually does not belong to us... Do you really want to prove your suicide = art point? fine... suicide with "art", if you're actually skilled enough to make everyone else perceive the beauty in your death (besides those who hate you). The real art is not in death, but in living... Do you concieve yourself as an artist, fine, then try living a life full of masterpieces, creations of pure will and labor...... maybe then you'll realize that the only ones who's death is art are the ones which lived with dignity, courage and integrity, depite their sufferings, calamities, pains and sorrows...October 30, 2006

Well...
No, I disagree with you, there. I am not a huge bundle of hate. I was not comparing you to anyone. I was simply stating suicide facts that I knew...not comparing you to anything or anyone. I am not stupid, and actually, I am quite artistic, except I allow my art to show in drawings, and my writings, not in my dreams of suicide. My crass words were meant. If you wanted me to have presented what I thought of your beliefs more eloquently, I could have. I am a writer, and I can do that. I spoke my mind in the simplest words, which creates a more feasable approach to dealing with such a case as this. Trust me, I used to be exactly like what you described yourself as...a dreamer of death, and the many artistic ways to go. I have "beautiful" scars up and down my arms in intricate designs that remind me of my dreams. Oh, yes, I was very artistic, in just about everything. You say that you have no one to grieve for you. This is unfortunate. I apologize for that, for no one should be totally alone in this world. I should hope that you have a few close friends who would grieve for you at least. I would very much like you to elaborate on what separates a coward and an artist when suicide comes into play. It seems as though you have strong views on the subject, and I would very much enjoy hearing them. Lastly, you seem a good chap. I agree with you. I wish to make all things beautiful in time, but I much prefer these to be things I do while I am living and well, not aiming towards my death. I would love to dicuss more of this subject or any other with you. We have a few conflicting words and beliefs, but these artistic differences, if you will, make us who we are. I apologize for my wording earlier, I was a bit, actually more than a bit, angry and rude. I do apologize, and I ask your forgiveness for being too harsh. ~AidennJanuary 30, 2007
