If I’m going to have to give money to someone through the government anyway do I care whom? What’s a better use for the money? Giving a few million to the homeless of whom some may not actually be homeless or giving billions to corporations of whom none of them are homeless?

I would prefer no government but if I must surrender my money I would rather the money go to the poor.

.........presumes that both cannot be good.
Individual welfare helps many who need it.
Corperate welfare helps to create jobs to lessen the need for individual welfare.
Are there those who would abuse these systems, of course. Remember though, one cannot hit a home run if one does not swing the bat first.
