The administration spends more on war in Afghanistan and Iraq than upon economic building, perhaps to its serious policy detriment.
War frightens and kills many people, but the rivals of power won't all be killed off until just the passive sheep remain perhaps. People in the poorer regions consider economic progress of more importance than politics in many instances, and neglecting to support immediate economic progress simultaneous with security efforts may be implicitly counterproductive.
Many have written on the subject of mismanaging economic development in those nations; the administration may believe in lassez faire capitalism with corporatist neo-realism principles in effect that mean the poor those nations may have a very long time to wait for the tide to politically arrive and their boats micro-economically to float. If the administration was serious about getting the economy going in those nations outside the traditional realms of oil and corporate power it could start up mass aluminum bicycle manufacture of recumbents with 27 inch rear wheel and 20 inch from with dual shocks, a package of wind power generators and solar panels for home power in Iraq and Aft., micro-business loans and so forth. The administration should get hot on encouraging the new government to give each citizen of the nation today living an equal share of the ownership of the Iraqi oil fields with all the value of the fields thrown in...then let the government fund itself through taxes rather than oil sales. -
Ummm...How about leave and stop infringing on the sovereignty of other nations...Voted for by focu.
