Is love a feeling for another, or an enjoyment of how another makes you feel?

Many people in this day and age claim to "love" somebody else. My question is to whether romantic love for another person is possible, and if so, is it a way you feel about the person, or the way you feel about the way they make you feel?

  • Hopefully Both

Love and relationship in my eyes should be about partnership. The love a couple share should be both given and received.

  • The christian view

Man is required to love his wife as christ loves the church.

Woman is required to respect her husband. Nowhere is she required to love. ........Ironic huh?

  • I think love is about how you feel about yourself

Personally, I think love is merely a reflection of how you feel about yourself. If the person you "love" makes you feel loved, you will interpret that. Of course, that brings up the question of unrequited love. I view that as a misconstrued emotion, where the brain sees the lack of emotional imput, but desires it so much from another that it will make up it's own idea of love to quench itself.

"My question is to whether romantic love for another person is possible,"

Of course it is. Love is when someone's happiness is important to you, and yours to their. When you want to be with them because of how they make you feel, yes, but also because that makes you want to make them always be great and safe.

Romantic love is that plus a healthy dose of lust.
