We are all slaves to our own happiness"

I said this when i was in like 7th grade at a time when peeps was really sad and annoying about it they were always trying to get happy or trying to stay sad so they could be happy when people "cared"

  • inside out

I think too many people are trying to attain happiness by the wrong way. I think it comes from the inside out and not the outside in. No one or nothing can really make you happy for very long. I think it comes from accepting yourself as who you are and learning to be content with what you have instead of always peering at everyone wondering if the grass is greener on their side. I think true happiness starts on the inside and you cannot contain it. It will work it's way throughyou to the outside for everyone else to see in your attitude and actions. It cannot come from the outside in, it has to come from the inside out.

  • Money$$$$$$$

I believe we are all slaves to making our next $buck$. It seem so many people think if it don't cost much money then it must not be good, not be fun, or it will not make me happy. We all preach money is the root of all evil but from the moment our eyes open each day to when they close at night we can't seem to get enough of it. We preach how the best things in life are free but we don't practice what we preach because then we run out and try to buy our fun, our past-times, our happiness.

So we just might be slaves to happiness, but our happiness appears to be slaves to the all might dollar$$$$$$$!!!!!!

  • I don't know

The reason why happiness is so valuable in the world we are living in, is because of all the bad things that happen; therefore, everything has a bright side. Why am I a slave to my own happiness? I mean, you can't just stick to one happiness...if you want to be stubborn and refuse to see happiness in only one thing, when the best thing you should probably do is try to see happiness everywhere...then I'm sorry, we ARE becoming slaves. We are becoming slaves because it seems like nothing pleases us. Whining, crying, arguing, (and most of the time for nothing)..and we try to force magic into every little moment. Maybe...if we'd just let it go, the magic would find us, instead.

  • Happiness has the whip

We are all slaves to our own happiness, i mean everyday we do things for ourselves to make us happy,, everyone is always so uptight about being happy like they either wanna be sad so they can be happy when people "care" or they wanna keep finding diffrent ways to be happy i mean when really we can be happy just by being i mean just be ya know what i mean...kinda....hard to explain....but we kinda just need to accept that we are gunna have hard times

  • Happiness

Each day brings new things. In one day we usually cry, laugh, or experience sadness or the state of being happy. If it is not experienced all within the day it will be thoughout the week. Even the very depressed still have one moment of happiness rather they deny it or not. I'm not sure if it is good to label or call it "Slave" That makes it sound like something else rather then what you're talking about. Instead I'd rather call happiness a state of being. Kari
