what are the words of wisdom that should be there. does this mean there is no good and no bad. good is what is not bad and bad is what is not good. we all know that somthing1 defined by something2 cannot exist if somthing2 is defined by something1. in the dictionary you dont use the same word to define the word.what does this mean? surely someone outthere should know this.

Good is what I define it to be at any given moment of my life. Bad or evil is what I define it to be at any given moment of my life. It differs for each person.

It is absolute that good and bad must coexist. One cannot exist without the other (at least not in this existance). However, the difference between good and bad, when moved toward the defining line becomes hazy. Good and bad are defined by the society, one's viewpoint is developed from that baseline. Unfortunately, good and bad are not resisitant to the changes in mental state, as if one could call a norm there either.

there has to be a bad for good to exist. They are mutually exclusive. That is why that ultimately this phenomenal existance is an illusion no matter how grand it appears. Don't be fooled by appearances. The existance of this planet, it's solar system and beyond relies on negative and positive elements. Example; Earth has apposing poles. Without this opposition there is no planet. There is no good or bad, only innocence to what is real and reality itself which requires non-attachment to the judgements of good and bad. Now, is my post good or bad?

If I moved into a world that was perpretually dark, there would always be dark without light. If I moved into a world that was constantly light, there would be light without dark.

Good - Satisfactory in quality, quantity, or degree.
Bad - Disagreeable, unpleasant, or disturbing.
There is no such thing as something being universally good or bad. Whats concidered good and bad vary as you visit different cultures around the world.
Good and Bad are completely relative to the individual;
Its all opinion.
Example: someone says something is bad but for another the same thing is good.
There is no good or bad there is only what is. Good and Bad are concepts created by your mind and that are greatly influenced by the culture you grew into. -

Then we gotta handle it all, handle the bad times and know God wont give you anything more then you can handle and when the good times roll along dont' take the for granted thank God for them and enjoy!so yea if you want good times you gotta get through the bad and know through the bad at the end is somethin good.....

If there were not one without the other how would you know right from wrong? Good from bad? One's ying is anothers yang. It is because we don't live in a vacuum. Even the bible says "where there is no law, no sin is imputed.". Then again, there is no true freedom without law.

Good and exsist without evil, but evil can't exsist without Good.Good (A word derived from the word God) means godly. And God, who as always been, was always good. You don't need evil to define good. It's like saying you need sweet to define bitter. You cant aste bitter, and it's not appealing. And you don't need to taste something bitter to know something is sweet. You know that the sugar is appealing, and that tar is bitter. But in order to know that bitter is bitter, you must taste something that isn't bitter because if everything was bitter, then you couldn't define bitter. Same goes for Good. Good can exsist without evil. but evil can't exsist without Good. Because evil needs good in order to be compared with good to be evil. Because if everything was "evil" now, then the whoe world would seem neutral. There would be no reason why what you feel is evil. But Good can exsist without evil because if everything was Good. It still would seem Good. Everything would be pleasing. And you would know Good. In order for there to be evil, Good must exsist, but just because Good exsist doesn't mean there is evil, and Good would have to be separate from the evil in order for evil to truely be evil.Voted for by Doom Pickels.

it is relative
first off... we are a different person at every moment. second, good seems to be what is precieved to be benificial to the preceiver, whereas bad/evil is what works against them.
