  • i was just about to ask...
In science and stuff, they always say the 5 elements and my teachers can't tell me what the elements actually are. So we got fire, earth, water and fire...but is metal really the other one? I'm confused...Does anyone here have the scientific answer for the 5th element...not so much the Chinese or Western tradition???

  • Elements?

Chinese believe the elements are fire water earth metal and wood. Where as in Western tradition the five elements are air fire water earth aether. Which one is right? Are there only five elements? Post your comments.

All things when broke down to thier smallest particles, is electricity , so I would say it is correctly the only element, but that is just how I see it

  • Three Fundamental Elements
At the absolute fundamental there is nothing (zero, emptiness). Nothing gave rise to Consciousness (one, God). Consciousness gave rise to energy and matter (two, duality). Energy and matter gave rise to time, space, and dimension (the beginning of an observable universe). Everything else comes after that.

  • 5 elements
    They are:

    1. The Absolute Earth element - i.e. the subtlest form of the earth element.

    2. The Absolute Water element - i.e. the subtlest form of the water element.

    3. The Absolute Fire element - i.e. the subtlest form of the fire element.

    4. The Absolute Air element - i.e. the subtlest form of the air element.

    5. The Absolute Ether element - i.e. the subtlest form of the ether element.

Maybe you will find this article interesting, it has got findings regarding the 5 elements and a spiritual perspective on climate change http://www.spiritualresearchfoundation.org/spiritualresearch/spiritualscience/naturaldisasters/index.php
