The point of God being all knowing and all powerful is that He can change the future if He wants. He has all power on heaven and on earth to do that. God knows what will happen, but He can change it. God knows lots of people are going to hell. This is why God is great. I know that sounds bad, but listen here: God gives us free choice. He doesn’t MAKE us believe in Him, or become a Christian. If He did, He would not truly be a just God, which He is. God knows some people are going to hell, and it saddens Him. But He also knows that He is offering this great free gift and if we don’t take it, that’s OUR decision. God gives us the option of choosing our own path. Doesn’t that sound fair to you?

“Why do people believe that God plans everything.” – Jack Hunt It’s not logical based on any of the “holy” books. The Bible clearly establishes the evolution of the Jewish, Islamic, Catholic, and Christian religions, but it doesn’t establish itself as the finite word of an infinite God. Things have been revealed since the “holy” books were closed.
Why do you call God a He or She. Is that logical? The is evidence of neither. Since we do not know God, or God’s domain, we neither know if God is all knowing nor all powerful.
Because of the intelligence of life on this planet, and the planet’s ability to sustain the various life forms, we might hope that God, or at least Earth, the Sun, and the Moon are intelligent. It could be chance.
There is no evidence of heaven or hell, but you might ask yourself what just God would punish eternally for comparatively minor violations.
Religion is the invention of humanity. There are many gods. Our most important is our planet and the Ultimate God I am sure would appreciate us respecting Mother Earth.

questions of religionVoted for by Luciferschild.
1. There cant be an all powerful and an all knowing god because they contradict each other. If god is all knowing than god has a very limited power, god would have to do exactly what he planned for the future. If god didnt than god would not have been all knowing in the first place because he changed what he thought was the exact future thus not knowing what the exact future was in the first place. How would you explain this?
2. If god is all knowing than he would know from before a babie was born wheather or not they would go to hell or heaven, so my question is why would he create babies that he knew were destined for hell?
If anybody knows the answer to these questions that isnt some bullshit answer like faith, please post

Why? How? It is human nature to want to know all that one can about God, because we want to know our origins, because we want to know about what happens after our death, and because part of our brain has evolved into a 6th sense where we can literally sense God being alive tho we cannot see him or smell him or observe him by any other senses because of course he is not in our physical world. The truth is there is a God, and no matter if you think infinity regress is impossible or not, or if you think life could not have originated from random chance, but you can know a God exists, everyone can, if they just reach out and try taking Him or Her into their lives. All Christians know this feeling all too well, and all atheists, well they of course don't, and this feeling, this sense of God, is something that even if it is a numinous experience, can open your eyes and show you the truth. The fact is that God does exist, and that he is all powerful, all knowing, and all that other jazz. How can this happen you ask? You give all these reasons of logic, but ask yourself this? You are a human, you think logically, you are not a God, God is all knowing, what if there was a different way to think, one which our brain cannot comprehend? What if God does not in fact think logically, but thinks asjsjefogically? (that's just a word i made up trying to get across my point)
Also, the whole reason this was started, why does God give us the option of going to Hell if he already knows? Well sorry for not addresing this earlier, I just believe that I had to fix some opinions of the other people on here. While they probaly will not accept what I said about the 6th sense and all, it really isn't scientifically proven, but that doesn't really matter, as long as they know it is out there. So anyway, God lets us decide to go to Heaven or Hell when he already knows. Let's see her; this question cannot be answered correctly without a little background information. When God created this world, he created us with free will, this free will would lead to sin, this sin would lead to Heaven or Hell, so lol, there's your backgroud info that's really all you need. Free will gives us the choice to choose between good or evil. Imagine a world without free will. Everything would be great sure, it would be like we were all barbies. Or maybe Woodie's would be a better example (hopefully you have all seen Toy Story) When the kid pulled Woodie's string, he would say "You're my favorite cowboy" or something loving and nice like that. But is that really love? Does it really matter that your barbie tells you she loves you? See, free will is God's gift to us, and the gift is love. By God giving us free will he allowing us to have the most precious thing in the whole universe, love. Sure, some people would turn against him, but in the end, many people would love him, they would love fellow mankind, and He would love us. And that is why we are allowed to have free will even though some of us will go to Hell for it.

You're right on
God is the creator of history and the creator of every one of us, and YES He is all powerful and all knowing!! This is why God is God!! He gives us free will, so if we choose to reject Him He is just in punishing us.March 5, 2005

Something to concider
First off, let me say that my response is not an indirect claim to be Christian. I don't consider myself to be of any established religion. I am, however someone who has had and witnessed a number of religious discussions, and I try to view everything as objectively as I can. ____________ To begin, your post is based on one interpretation of God, which may or may not even be correct. ____________ You have to ask yourself how much of the Bible are you going to accept as literal, even when that interpretation doesn't make sense to you. ____________ This, of course, does not mean that a particular literal interpretation is not correct, since you could simply lack a crucial piece of information. ____________ One thing I see a lot is the literal interpretation of God being He, a male. If God is a male, then God must be a physical being, since gender is a genetic factor. ____________ If I may offer a suggestion, try eliminating any human qualities from the idea of God. For instance, the idea of a jealous God: try looking at it non-literally. Why would something possessing all knowledge and power, and most importantly being all-wise, be truly jealous of anything at all? Jealousy is petty and has nothing to do with wisdom. ____________ Take care with what you view as literal, especially when a metaphor is much more logical. God is not a human, so why humanize it? ____________ I have no intention of suggesting that God actually does or does not exist, because I do not know, as I am not omnipotent. ____________ I am however suggesting that many accepted interpretations are highly illogical, while a more metaphorical view of the exact same words can make perfect sense.June 13, 2005

Believing in God because of personal experience
when i was young i prayed and got results so i believe that is believeing in God from experience... so I would only listen to the Boss, and not men and women who claim to speak for him... about him, ect. as all people have different experiences.. if i were to try to convince someone God was real, i would just ask them about thier lives and if they remember a small inexpainable miracle ect.. but why should i do it...? i think there is a big difference between people that go to churcxh to be with Christ and talk to people about it and peole who don;t say anything and try to live the best lives they can and don't fall for all the church stuff.. even though some churches do good.. there is a bigg difference between believing in the Lord because of other people telling you so and your own fatih giving miracles you have seen with your own eyes and heart and that no one can take away no matter what is said the bible is good and the word Om Amriteshwaryai namahPlease register or login to comment!
