Introduce yourself here (second edition)

Depending on what goes, we may combine this with the old edition or leave it seperate. However, the mods wish to re-introduce the topic, considering the wave of newcomers onto our site. It helps us get to know each other and keep tabs on regulars and their philosophical views! You may if you wish use your old post, and update it even, start a fresh - doesn't matter. All we ask is that you tell us a bit about yourself. You don't have to participate, it's certainly not a must, but it would be cool to hear from you, and I am sure the wider community will appreciate your input!

Artist, writer, publicist and press room foreman. 41 yrs. old and have been told I look just like Charles Manson(but much more sane hopefully). • Thank you for the second chance :)

My name is ANA I will be 17 in less than a month (yay!!!) I am Albanian, and I guess it's very important because I was raised under a(generally speaking)European culture. I am an atheist but I admire people who are trully devoted to God and don't just say it for the sake of an argument. I despise people who try to put their religious influences on me (only one person can-my dad-and he doesn't use his powers). I am into politics, a lot;I love soccer. I am a person of extremes...fragile and easily disturbed, strong and weak.... I love music of any kind, shape or form. And a thing that's probably not important about me is that I love the smell of the ocean in the morning. My hobbies include: dancing, writing, traveling, photography, reading, and writing on allphilosophy.

well. to say who i am and what i do. im a the kind of person that spent his whole life and will spent his entire life finding where the lines are. through this and my very rational and open mind i have been able to come to many conclusions. i cannot stop thinking. i come from a hispanic catholic background and can tell you everything with one word. i pride myself in being trustworthy and i try to be just. but in the end im still that little kid looking for the answers to his questions but has realized that he cant get them all answered. im here to discuss, chat, philosophize, but above all to tweek were the lines are again. oh by the way, i wish i had a pink turkey. did i mention that ppl call me crazy.

  • Howdy.

I'm seventeen, I live in , Nowhere in the USA (it's a small town), and I'm a feeeemale!

I'm an agnostic, but I lean towards the theory that God doesn't exist. However, I believe in Jesus and that he believed that he was the son of God, and I believe in Mary Magdalene being his wife. I lean towards evolution, but I'm open-minded about the origin of life being from other planets such as Mars.

I just have a lot of opinions and beliefs, so if you want them all, check out my philosophy. I cuss like a pirate, occasionally smoke, I don't drink or do anything like pot or drugs like that. I love to have fun and I belly dance.

  • Mudgod (Where I come from to where I'm going)
Hi, I’m an old guy (56) from New England. I believe that truth can be known. I believe in eliminating gray areas. I think that people’s vanity, unwillingness to learn, and lack of commitment are their biggest stumbling blocks. I believe that one who will not learn is worse off than one who cannot learn. I believe that the educated of the world will need the most re-education in the world tomorrow. I believe that we are on the threshold of the great tribulation spoken of in the Bible (5 years or less). I believe that all the big questions can be answered. Who are we? What are we? Why are we here, what is our purpose? Does God exist? If so, who is He, what is He? What is He all about? I believe that this knowledge is the most important information there is to know.

  • O

I am the summation of all that I have sensed, consciously and unconsciously, up to now. As I write i do so on the edge of the expansion of the Universe where Light pierces through darkness. I am at the border.

  • Alright well.. here's me too...

I have a name made up of letters and a face with all the common features. I grew up in suburbia and I am a college student. I am extremely religious, but I am not an extremist. I love the truth and have always seeked it out. I've meditated on so many aspects and all the astonishingly wise answers I could come up with were actually based on the same answers I could find in the Bible. It was even frustrating to know that no matter how hard I thought, the best answer I could ever come up with for any kind of problem had already been recorded in the Bible. I very much trust in it after years of trying to find its faults. Philosophy, in general, is now useless to me. Although I still like to think about abstract subjects. I am a young 19 year old boy.

I am not afraid of research and I welcome volumes of knowledge from any source, no matter how unreputable. I know I would be a philosopher if I wasn't religious. And I just hope everyone uses the best of their reasoning, keeps an open mind, and an open heart. Discrimination and bias are the true ignorants.

Accept truth from wherever it may come.

  • Cheers.

Well, new user here. I despise sheep; both mammals, really, the two are hellbent on taking over society as we know it. Pretty much atheist, too much has happened and too much has been thought about to follow any religion at this point. Enjoy introspection, though I probably do too much of it. Also an aspiring writer, and hope something becomes of that one day in the future.

  • Seeing the Future As the Way It Is
Hi! My name is Vicky and I just turned 14 in October. I was born in Washington and still living there to this day. However, my parents had immigrated from Vietnam so I have a mixed culture between Vietnamese and American. It's a bit hard living in two such different societies. I am bilingual and speak Vietnamese fluently, as well as read and write. I am Buddhist and believe in peace and happiness. Generally, I am open to other religions and like to be neautral about topics. It doesn't occur to me that one religion tops all. I see it all is the same. Some religions have good and bad points. Same thing to government. Vietnam is a socialist country, however it used to be Communist. In a way, Communist isn't bad. It gave equal rights to women in Asia, especially China. Our government as well as others have both weaknesses and strong abilities. I always believe that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Just because you see some bad stuff doesn't mean it's really bad. You have look deeper into what it is. I like to have an open viewpoint which is why I love to travel around the world and try new things. As my sister always says, "Peace+happiness=success"...
