What are your dreams usually about?

Title says all.

  • Pregnancy

I myself always dream that I'm pregnant. I dreamt last night that the baby was kicking (I was about six or seven months along) and that my boyfriend kept putting my hands over my belly to feel the baby kick. I dream about belly dancing with a 6-month pregnant belly. I dream about morning sickness. For a few months now, actually.

Other times, when I'm on my period, I have strange, twistedly odd dreams because of cramps and uterine contractions.

I started this debate to debate (obviously) about the causes of dreams. Let's get into philisophical discussion, shall we?

I think that my dreams may be linked perhaps to the love of life. Perhaps my love of life has made me hell-bent to give birth, which my dreams dig out of my mental 'files'.

  • Houses

often I'm in a house, never the same house and lots of different situations. I read somewhere that a house could be related to the mind and the rooms and position of rooms portrays different areas of of thought or personality.

Before having children I had a brief but amazing dream, just the face of a baby smiling at me and surrounded by light.

In the past I have believed I had prophetic dreams.. but maybe not.

  • Prophetic dreams...

I believe are a misinterpreted way to see the future. It's not because you have them psychic powers, it's because your brain is skillfully using cause-and-effect. So you got a bad test grade, your brain, deep down, is using that cause and creating possible effects, some viable and possibley able to 'come true'.

As with the likelihood of life appearing on earth, these dreams are usually rare in individuals. However, in an unlikliness to the life senario, it's more common in individuals who are more capable of imagining and thinking abstractly more easily.

  • Random but usually happy...

Flying, sex, being telekinetic (i keep waking up thinking i know how to do it). Making awesome jams with my friends and coming up with incredible songs just not being able to remember how they go...

I once dreamt my conservative Christian father was selling me heroin...

  • dreams tend to be...

exactly what you want... or exactly what you dont want. this is due to your unconscious breaching your conscious: dreams. they are your unconscious brain talking with the conscious brain. that is why they are seemed prephetic because in reality you are talking to yourself in your dreams, which means that there are probably some deeper meanings in dreams than just what is seen. cause your unconscoius brain is definately not in leage with your conscious brain... then again i dont believe to have much of a unconscious self if at all due to the way i think, adn my dreams have shown me just that.

  • Realistic
My dreams aren't all that silly. . .

Once I dreamed that I was at a bar, and I had gotten drunk. Luckily a friend of mine was there, so she drove me to her appartment, where I slept on the couch. When I awoke, she was standing there, and as I tried to get up, she told me to lay down. . . The next day she went with me to my house and threw away all of the alcohol in my cabnents. (Does anyone have any idea of what this means?)

  • I had this dream a while ago...
I had a dream my mom and I went to a mall, and it was pretty empty in terms of people. I got lost and ended up looking at make-up and accidentally stealing it (don't ask how, I have no clue), and when I told her on the way out of the parking lot that I shouldgo return it, she looked at me and said 'I hate you' as serious as a heart attack. I woke up strangely frightened, and nightmares never do that to me...odd.
