How to be tollerant about all faiths?

Not religions, just beliefs

  • Get Rid of Religion

If everyone would put aside what ‘religion’ you are and delt with your faith and beliefs then I think we can all learn to be tollerent.

  • Philosophy

A philosophy of life is more important than a belief system. It doesn’t matter what we believe about this world and our existence so long as we live our lives well.

  • Tolerant to What Degree?

Because, I can be tolerant of someone else’s belief in that I don’t hate them for it and I respect that there are differences, but I can’t be tolerant if it means that I must believe that their way is as valid as my way. I believe that there are absolute rights and absolute wrongs, and if someone is wrong then I can tell them, politely and respectfully of course so as not to hurt anyone. So I guess since I think certain beliefs are wrong I would be intolerant . . . I’m not entirely sure what you mean here by tolerant.

I don’t believe we can ever say with 100% surety that our way is the only way. And even is we feel confident of it, we need to realize that others may as well. We should love everyone on the basis they are a human being, and treat them as such. We may fail in this, but we can still try.

  • Don't Take Yours Too Seriously

Since none of it can be proven, it’s not worth arguing over.

  • History takes a while to conquer

When people are taught to hate a specific religion, it takes a few generations for that to weaken, that is the main problem.

The important thing is to not allow the actions of the few represent the religion of the many

  • Ones relashionship with God is a very intimate thing.

We have to distinguish Faith from Religion – Faith is the relation between you and God and Religion is the community / social Also we have to distinguish a person’s background from an other. People who where born with a religion and people who chosen their Religion.

Human are bond out from there diversity to form ideas – philosophies and questioning everything, even the name of the wonderful peace, power & strength which we might have felt sometime around us. Some they find these feelings inside and some they pray God / Gods in order to receive them. Now one can think that who pray God / Others might be an insecure person and by not believing in his strength needs support from someone else so God was a Human’s creation not the human’s Creator ( Fraud’s theory). Others call that an amassing miracle of faith towards our beloved Creator.

I have looked out for other Religions but in my country we are very limited. Still I have manage to get a knowledge and I have learned that the basics are all the same – Love & forgive mainly then other things were very similar too. What I also found was that the difference only comes out when these manifestation of God tried to explain something to their people using there traditional / cultural examples or when for a social / war reason had to put some rules in order to give the human some dignity and order in their lives. This made me think, then I came to the conclusion that Faith = God / +ve energy call it what you think is write but Religion (although it follows a pattern of +ve energy) may be also influenced or else translated with a social point of view!

I believe that one has to find his own way of communicating with God whether finding it inside or elsewhere.

I believe In God, cause I have chosen to believe in God and respect by recognizing each religion cause even after knowing all the above facts and more I am sure that they are all there to teach Good, healthy and helpful things.

Said this – some may also say that I have no gutz to stick to one Religion, but this is life and there will always be someone who will philosophy on your philosophy.

    C’est La vie.

  • tolerant?

i cant be tolerant of someones religion when they say that i am wrong because im atheist, they can go on waking up early going to listen to readings of something some random person wrote and i wont bug them for it, but as soon as there is hurting people involved or them calling other religions wrong thats where the tolerance for their religion stops

  • Well.

It’s not tolerance that matters. It’s the acceptance that we all should strive for. What matters if your best friend is of some other religion, and your religion says yours is the only? You’re still friends, right?

The answer to acceptance is to regard everyone as the same, and do not share the thinking that your way is the only way.

  • I will tolerate, I will work alongside

I will eat my lunch with anyone. I will hire you based on your skills not your faith. But,.... I WILL NOT ACCEPT another religion. Yes, I am 110% sure God the Father and His Bible are the true path for all humanity. I will stake my own Life on it, and I have also.

My father is an atheist. My mother is a christian. They seem to manage to get along ok... As far as I can see, part of most people's beliefs / religions is accepting the beliefs of others.

  • loveing your neighbor is accepting your neighbor

From what I've read, and heard from other religons, tolerance is akin to a prime directive, loveing your neighbor is accepting your neighbor despite your differences. and while you can still speak to one another about your religous views know that forceing them down one anothers throats, is not "spreading the good word" nor is turning your nose up at those of different faiths when in need. when do you hear about Buddha, Krishna, or Jesus turning their backs on those in need, because they fell to their knees for different reasons
