• I dislike war mongering bigots

  My list I of such bigots i believe should include conservative Christians who use the bible to justify everything from spreading their rhetoric on mission trips like communism, and to the outlaw of gay rights on account of a book (the Bible) which there is no proof that it is even the “word of God.” Law should be based on fact, and people should be able to make their own decisions, not have shaky information shoved down their throat.

    I am sure there are some who would consider your post to sound like words from a bigot also. You use bigot in reference to conservative christians but it can also apply to many other opinions as well. In as much as you feel there words go to far in one direction, maybe many others feel the same way about your words. Yes, I do understand what you are saying but respectfully....everyone has an opinion and most often they are eager to share it. Personally, I have no problem with anyone's opinion, reguardless if I agree or not, because if everyone shared the same thoughts on most things then I believe the world would be such a boring place. Yes, I will admit it is trying at times, but for the most part I try to respect everyone's thoughts. :)

      I agree with energizer bunny. This can go both ways, you know. Not all people who are Chrstians like to shove their stuff down other people's throats, and there are plenty of non Christians who try to shove their agenda down other's throats, just as you are doing here.

    Law is established in the US by society, the participating citizens. Some laws need changed. You can lobby for that. You seem to have a bigotted view of conservative Christians, but I think it is also accurate. Andy

    you know what, i agree with EB there, i re read it and i guess i get caught up in, and use my own propaganda to try and force my opinion on others, which i know is wrong, but i also know we all do it, and i think you for pointing that out.

    to actually change someones opinion you sorta have to shove your opinion down their throat or you will be ignored and will fail in changing what you want to be changed. oh and EB, come on you know you have problems with some of my opinions! if you remember the slober sloping debate.....

    I am a person who believes in god. Unlike those of some of my fellow christains, I do not believe in all that the bible says, or should I say I believe that people have interpreted the bible in so many ways that most people just believe whoever they are listening to at the time, be it their parent, their preacher. I however, think that no one really has it right...if you think you know what the bible means, and that everyone who deviates from your interpretation of the bible is wrong than you must think yourself to be closer to god than the rest of us. I don't believe any of us know...so we should not force our opinions down anyones throat. And I believe that those who try to deny gay rights are those that are scared and ignorant. What I find amazing is, if you are a true christain, you believe that it is not up to us to judge, but we are to love our neighbors, our job is not to hate or to place judgements...that is for god to do..I happen to believe that when I stand before god, I will not be looked down upon for loving anyone, male or female. as long as I had love in my heart, and was faithful to the one I have commited myself to
