    I think Grant....

    ...is stating his existence and embracing a 'New Age' stance. :o :) Doing Gods work, would mean following Gods will. Imagine, embracing absolute belief in God and then accepting His absolute guidance in making prime decisions, while also professing to want God to use you as a servant, in any capacity and not worrying about personal suffering, because you know, God will make all things turn to good for you, as long as you are devoted to Gods will, completely.

      Do you know what God's work is? If not, you can't be doing it. Where is it being done? By whom? How is it done? What is involved in getting it done? You are the one who said they are doing it. Please enlighten me.

    Its the best i can do for you. What i'm doing right NOW (blink and you've missed it) is my best at being me. No point in being anyone else. No point in a kangaroo being an elephant. What other work is there other than noticing NOW? Any ideas that you have pertaining to "god's work"?

    I think God is pretty well capable of doing his own work, and as much as I have looked for it, I have never seen any indication of anyone (with the exception of Jesus) being asked to do it.

      Yeah well, buggered if i'm going to wait to be asked. No point letting pride get in the way. Just gotta take the bull by the horns and do what has to be done. Grant is doing being Grant as is god's will. No-one else needs to do it so its up to me (to be me).

    Yes, but the key word you use is "may" which leaves it all up to how you want it. "Deterministically destined" sounds like an oxymoron. Your destiny is not determined by you. This is the point of destiny. Throw in a "may" as well and it gets even sillier.

    Grant , you just being you , is a stand alone temptation to sarcasm, I dont think that is likely to be Gods purpose for anyone, But perhaps Im wrong, you could be just one of lifes many trials for many people

I was stating that it simply was, you had no part to play in the decision making. It is called 'fatalism'. It is more extreme than determinism in that it doesn't necessarily denote the mental as deterministically set, but rather that your decisions and actions are futile in changing what is and what will be. If you are a kangaroo, you are a kangaroo. And according to your determinism theory, God made you for the sole purpose of 'going to hell'.

    I've little doubt that the divine will has allowed for your existence, but as for your existence being your ultimate meaning in life.....I'm skeptical. I do have one question for you that I do hope you will answer for your philosophy makes me currious. If you are doing God's will be being you, was Hitler, Stalin, Nero or any other person of perceived evil doing God's will by being them? If so, how could God will such horrors?

    I'll admit it, I'm a bit lazy.

    I can't say that I do much of God's work. In fact, sadly enough he does most or all of mine.
