I want to know why people believe that science absolutely, postitively must have perfect logic and reason that everyone can understand before it is taken seriously and yet with god, its whatever s/he says goes?

• Science vs Bible

  The bible admonishes us to "prove all things", which I endeavor to do. Should Science be held to any less of a standard? Don't forget, all the materials and laws that science attempts to prove or disprove were created by the same God that inspired scripture. In either case, we should not consider theories, either science or scripture, as facts. Nor should we postulate and build conclusions around them. I believe we can know the things of God as surely and solidly as anything we can know from science.

    I can't speak for other people. It is incumbent upon anyone who reads my posts to verify or refute them. I am willing to discuss any point of contention anyone has based on my posts. I think it is of the utmost importance that scripture is understood properly. Can I be wrong? Certainly. But as you learn more and more your errors become less and less. It is said that anyone can be an expert on a subject in four years (a college course of time). Even after you prove things to people, they don't want to hear it. Many times I have heard people say "I don't care what it says, I don't believe it." You can't fight that kind of thinking. "they say the bible is proof, but what you say here is contrary" I'm not sure what you mean by this statement.

    Because science is a method of measuring the experiences of the real world and discovering the laws of those experiences so that humans can use those laws to improve their real world.If you ignore the laws of structural engineering science people die in collapsing buildings.God,religion,metaphysics,what have you,is not about the real world so nothing has to be backed up by experience.

    God, having existed prior to the material world that He created, IS the real world. In creating the material world He created the physical laws that define it.

    Any events beyond the material,repeatable experiences of science is the realm of speculation with no criteria of verification for the existence of said events.All speculations beyond the material are equal.One god,ten gods,large gaseous roosters with blue feet are all equal candidates for the creator of the laws because there is no method to disprove the statement.

    I believe that the creator of all there is,is the great gaseous rooster with blue feet divided by 2 on wednesdays and multiplied by six on thursdays. What proof do I have of this great wise creator? Well to be honest I have no proof but look around you at all this amazing complexity,there had to have been a creaotr and it must have been the great gaseous rooster with blue feet divided by 2 on wednesdays and multiplied by six on thursdays. Again,I can't prove it's existence but LOOK AT THE EVIDENCE! I believe!

      My creator has given me documented proof of His existence. Whereas the "gaseous rooster with blue feet divided by 2 on wednesdays and multiplied by six on thursdays." leaves me a little befuddled. However, if your rooster is something tangible, then it must have been created by my creator as He has said that He created all things.

    Hmmm...documented proof of his existence?A book written by a man/men.I must henceforth write a book containing all the values of the great gaseous rooster with blue feet divided by 2 on wednesdays and multiplied by six on thursdays.And then our creators will be equal as far as proof of existence is concerned. Also the great gaseous rooster with blue feet divided by 2 on wednesdays and multiplied by six on thursdays told me he/it/she (not sure about its gender] that it is the creator of all things and must have created your creator. How can we tell which creator is the true creator!?!? There is equal evidence for both!?!?

    When your God has provided you with documented evidence, then I will be more than happy to debate you. When your creator has told you who, what, and why you are I would love to compare notes. And make no mistake. I could never know these things unless they were spiritually made known to me by my creator. You could be right that almost all of the six billion people on the earth have differing ideas of the Creator, but it does not nullify the fact that there is only one. You belief or unbelief makes no difference. Your God is the one you obey.

    hmm, not to just butt in here or anything, but... seriously, this is sad, predicting the future isnt all that hard, we are creatures of habit, we like making the same mistakes over and over again. and what is with the blue rooster??? couldnt you have used the greek or viking gods? at least they've got some historical, written value to them. and to think, i just thought it was weird that all it took was a book to prove something, no real studies... but at this point it is completely beside the point. seriously, a blue rooster... although 9/10 for originality...
