Comic books have evil villains but sometimes think from the villain's point of view?

No Such Thing33% Voted for by Kazrith, Aphotic Euphony.
I would have to say there is no such thing as evil for evil is merely an oppinion, a moral contraditory. there also no such thing as good. Our morals tell us what is good and bad. and as we all know, not everyone holds the same morals.

Evil is nothing more than a label applied to other concepts and individuals, symptomatic of either a mind that one of either: 1) Sees no humanity or rationale in what he is labels evil.
or
2) Is not willing to seek rationale or humanity in what he labels evil.

Evil is the Opposite of GoodVoted for by david13.
What is Good? Good is what most people strive for. If Evil is what most people strive for, then Evil becomes Good, and what was once Good becomes Evil. For example, most people find killing to be evil. However if we were convinced and acted on killing like it was the right thing to do for whatever small infraction someone else did to us then killing would be good. That is, if 90% of people believed in the Wild, Wild West theory of life that we should all carry guns and shoot people who piss us off, then killing would be Good. If you got killed in a shoot out, then your family would not grieve because you died, they would grieve because you sucked at being a better shooter. Good and Evil is all relative. Evil is just what most people do not want. Today, that has been pretty well established by pretty much similar laws in countries around the world.

It is a lack of good, but of course.Evil in the philosophical realm is the same as the darkness and cold of the physical realm. Darkness and cold do not technically exist. They are merely a description for a lack of light or a lack of heat within a physical system. The same can be said for evil. It has no existance in and of itself, it is merely a lack of good. If you think about it, it makes perfect sense really. Every evil that can be conceived is merely some perversion or mutation of something good. People do horrible things in pursuit of happiness which is a good thing, in and of itself. There has never been anyone who has done something evil for the sake of evil. It is all about wanting the right kind of things but wanting them to much, or for the wrong reasons, or trying to get them the wrong kind of way. And the essence of the 'wrongness' that defines these things is the lack of good that was present in their formation of existance. Now some believe that neither good nor evil exist. They are both perceptions based on a morality and morals are differ from culture to culture which must mean the definitions of good and evil do the same. But this is not true. Every culture is amazingly similar to every other culture in history in terms of its morality and what it considers right. Cultures differ on how many wives you can have, but agree you can't have any woman you want. They place different levels of emphasis on various aspects of sexual conduct, but all agree there is a right and a wrong in terms of that conduct. Some say you should love your neighbor, others say your enemies as well, and still others say you should be allied to your family alone. But all of them agree that you should never put yourself first. It is my conclusion that good indeed exists. And in that less or more of it can be present in any given action, then evil must exist as well. And the existance of evil is quite simply the lack of goodness within a system.Voted for by keyman7.
