Priorities is a strange word. We try so hard to guard them but it appears the more we watch them the more screwed up they become. I was thinking about it the other night while in the bed. Basically this is what I came up with. At first it sounds confusing but read it slowly and it makes better sense. Thanks....
Your can't get second things by putting them first; you can get second things only by putting first things first. Put first things first and we get second things thrown in, but put second things first and we lose both first and second things.

And for the most part I agree with you ,However mistakes will happen from time to time simply from miscalculation, or oversight, often there is time to make corrections

I like to think of priorities as a queue.
A line of priorities waiting to get to the front with the first in line being the highest priority.
Sometimes one will join the queue which has to be dealt with immediately and it must jump the queue.
This doesn't mean the first in line have been pushed out of the queue. They just have to wait a little longer.
