Greedy?

Do you go to walmart and spend all your money on junk? Yes greed is not just an American problem. It is a global one.

  • So therefore

it is not money that creates misery. It is desire (for money or anything). You may have lots of money or no money. I think it is possible to be in either position and still transcend it. It is the transcendance of DESIRE. It is to want not to want.

  • greed

the excessive wanting of stuff. the only reason ppl would even think of money is because you can buuy anything with enough of it. if we used chickens instead of dollars there still would be ppl out there killing themelves over chickens. its all about stuff it just so happens that every stuff that we know has a monetary value that if you have enough money you can practicly do what ever you want.

  • Money is the root of all evil

I believe money is the root of all evil. I seen people do many horrible things to get it. They will do anything to get rich. Wars are fought over who has the most resources. The spoils of war always go to the winner.

The problem as I see it with Wal Mart and to a lesser degree Costco and bJs is the way they acquire land. They enter into alliances with local govs. Using eminent domain to seize land some times paying pennies on the dollar. If they cannot get a local gov. to play ball with them they take them to court tying up money that Would otherwise be spent on police and schools and forcing higher taxes. If your interested check out this book : wal mart the high cost of low prices. Note: I shop at wal mart and sams club.

  • Um, no.
Greed would be stealing all the junk without giving the money to the cashier who would give it all to walmart and earn some for himself, which he and the company uses to pay taxes which pays for society and its computers.

Also if he just inched and stole more space from other people to store all tha junk. THAT would be selfish, because who needs three salad spinners and a cat condo on thier side of the fence?

  • Greed is part of the problem

Okay, greed is part of the problem but also the enticing ads and excitement over "cheap" objects makes America go all crazy. People want this and that. It's our want and desire to go forth and get what we want. Money is the solution to our "wants" and is the fastest way we can get it. This makes our society get spoiled and "brattier" every time, so to speak. Manipulating by the means of money to get what they want is becoming a problem for people.
