Seventeen senses

Recently I read somewhere that we actually have not five senses but seventeen!!

What experiences have you had that may back up this claim.


  • Driving

    Not too regularly I day dream while driving and sometimes come around from my thoughts and think "how did I get here?. Why didn't I crash? I can't even remember driving from one point to the other. So who or what did the driving?

    It would help if there were names or definitions to these senses; otherwise, we can't really share our experiences with them other than the first five, and maybe the "sixth."

    Assuming that we do, I would doubt they're easy to define or detect and probably mix in one way or another.
