a Gay elderly couple have been denied communion at th Roman Catholic church unless they agree to remain celibate.
Communion waffers are considered the body and blood of Christ. to Catholics receiving communion is one of the most scared rights and this couple have been denied it.
the couple posted a picture of their wedding in a newspaper (seen above) and the archbishop of the church saw this and they have now decided to deny them communion.
is it right to deny homosexuals communion when others receive this right even when their sins are known?

exiled to romestrangely i agree with the catholic church. just as it is not appropriate for the catholic bishops to have an opinion one way or another if i wish to be married by the state. i should not seek to influence the catholic church one way or another on how they see fit to police their faith. i must however stop to ponder these inconsistencies. if these two gay men are worthy of what amounts to excommunication then why is cardinal law( the cardinal who oversaw the reassigning of the pedophile priests in Boston)is still receiving communion and is now part of the collage of cardinals?42% Voted for by bob2314, Weydon, petethemeat.
to this day the Boston diocese has still not come clean about where all the pedophile priests are so i must assume that they are still out there and still having sex with alter boys. shouldn't those alter boys be refused communion for leading those good Shepherds away from their flocks? -
SMUTJust look at that hideous photo of them? This really emphasizes the widely known FACT that homosexuality is all about hot, freaky-monkey passion and--most heinously--LUST.28% Voted for by Weydon, bob2314.
There is no love between those 2 men. If you look at it and tell me you see anything aside from that "Homosexual Passion" (known to be contagious to the moron kids that mimic-for-life the first same-sex act they see), that you see some sweet old couple that really and truly loves each other deeply--you're a liar. A liar and recruiter to homosexuals. These lusty, disgusting men have their choice to be with each other rather than the NATURAL choice of women (don't bother me with the semantics of these men being so old that their being with women wouldn't make babies either!) obviously makes them excluded from participation in the receiving of Christ. Take one final look at that SMUT, and tell me that's the kind of emotion Christ would like. Christ taught us LOVE, tolerance, and peace--not whatever THAT is. -

depends on what the Catholic faith stands for in reference to communion as a whole. If they disagree they can always choose to belong somewhere else. -
on the one handas a Christian, I cannot in good conscience condone homosexuality, so I can see where the Catholics are coming from on this issue. However as an Adventist , I feel that the Catholic church is a heresy, the "Little horn of the great Beast" mentioned in the book of Daniel, so I tend not to like anything they stand for.Voted for by NeferMaatNetjer.

You people want to talk equal rights and all that big and bad crap? No blacks here, no Koreans there...That law's gone. GET OVER THE FACT THAT SO WILL THE 'NO GAYS' RULES. They are people just like us, and they have our rights. Everyone should be treated equally. People say it's a mental disease, yet you allow autistic, anorexic, and skits. people into these churches. You say it's a defect, but you allow the one legged catholic kid from Brazil into your church. What is wrong with this picture?! Normal people not allowed in, but the Brazillian with one leg and the anorexic can have the front pew!?

Communion
I think the Church realized that about 9 people a year go to confession, and even if we went every day we would have committed another sin by the time we got to the Eucharist. That's right before you receive everyone goes "Lord, I am not worthy to receive you, but only say the Word and I shall be healed." The real trick is to not sin on your way to the body-bread."There are no grades of sin. It is either Godly or not. All sins must be repented, it's as simple as that."
Yeah, I've always disagreed with that sentiment.
