God made everything. Did He make evil?
-
I do not believe evil exists.
Cold does not exist.
Any accurate physician will tell you that
"Cold is a complete and absolute absence of heat."
Darkness does not exist.
It is simply a absence of light.
Hunger does not exist.
It is a lack of nourishment/food.
Therefore, does evil exist?
Evil is a lack of good.
Therefore, it cannot exist, it is just a name for a lack of goodness.
In plus, God made everything with a free will.
The serpent chose to disobey God.
That was the first evil.
Then Adam and Eve disobeyed God's explicit (and simple) demand that they did not eat of the tree.
Therefore, evil does not exist as such, but is
1) a lack of goodness or
2) a choice people make.

Good answer Dwn :)
I love your answer Dwn.
The reason for both, benefit to humankind and evil to humankind, is so the choice will be our own. We choose sin, we chose the vast darkness.
Remember how the story played out?
Two trees were in the garden of Eden. The tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Which tree was chosen over the other? This temptation once unleashed, is inherited and passed down to all humankind.
You see; what if God created us, then did NOT give us that choice, but hid the knowledge from us?
IN order for a true God to be absolutely fair, trusting, loving and honest, He must allow us the responsibility of choice. Freedom is more than just a right, it is a responsibility and God of course knew the importance of our right to choose.
God trusted us to choose the beneficial tree and even warned and adviced against the wrong choice.

No evil
I don't believe evil exists either. To sum it up I believe Evil is a word, it is the human need to categorize our actions. If you want me to go into detail just ask.

yes he did
if he exists he made choice and a choice can be evil therefore he created it while he may not condone it he made it as a part of us

The Tiger
TIGER, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies 5
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the fire?
And what shoulder and what art
Could twist the sinews of thy heart? 10
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand and what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? What dread grasp 15
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?
When the stars threw down their spears,
And water'd heaven with their tears,
Did He smile His work to see?
Did He who made the lamb make thee? 20
Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
-William Blake
I don't think there's an answer to the question.
Perhaps God made good and evil created itself, inside the very core of St Lucifer. Perhaps God made both the lamb, and the tiger. But it is definitly safe to say that both good and evil exist. Anything you can feel exists, be it in the corners of the world or in your mind. Cold, hunger, darkness. . .they all exist. If cold and hunger didn't exist. .people wouldn't be killed by it. If darkness didn't exist, people wouldn't get lost in it.
God is the origin of good and Lucifer is the origin of evil. .either way, it is all traced back to God. .for God made Lucifer, with the knowledge that evil would be born of the angel(on what wings dare he aspire?-God doesn't have wings). Hence, I conclude. .forgetting most of the points I made on the origins of good and evil as brought to mind by William Blake's The Tiger.

i can not say about evil but....
.....but i can say that al universe is 'driving' by energy [ Heat ], so heat is exist everywhere and everytime and to low temp. [ not ever can be absence ] we can say it cold.
....but i can say that hunger is permanent , we born with hunger and cry for food , we everyday eat lot of food but after sometime we are again hungry.
.....sadness is exist [ permanent ] , happyness is a wind of cool air [in the permanent exist of sadness ] only for some small time and then we again dip in well of sadness and bordom.

It is simply a absence of light."
You are just like saying a man does not exist but a mature male human being does.
What you have done is substituting the word darkness with its defination.
Isaiah 45:7 (King James Version) King James Version (KJV) I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
The above verse is not parable
It literally means what it is saying.

Your answer is complete nonsense Dawm not only did you not prove your point effectively you just stringed together abunch of pointless (if this is like this then it cant be this) crap and backed it up with a few history lessons from the bible. God has not made evil.People have made evil just as they have made good. To truly answer the question though how do you define evil or bad behaviour. Lets say Paul is an alcoholic and when he gets drunk he is a very violent person and beats on his wife once or twice a week because of that does that make him evil or is he just another victim of his own addictions are addictions evil, that depends on the point of view. You see where im going with this? Evil and good are not black and white they are in fact millions of shades of grey. Evil can only be falsely defined by other people who have an idea of the definition but no real understanding. For instance a priest would call masterbation or sex before marriage evil they would even call homosexuality evil, but when the point of view changes to another the definition changes as well. "For the greater good" everyone knows the saying but what is the greater good? Adolph Hitler believed it was exterminating all the jews, Lennon believed it was the harmony of government and citizens with the creation of communism and the Ku Klux Klan thought it was white superiority. Their point of view made perfect sense to them, but our point of view describes them as insane, immoral and completely EVIL. Does that mean evil is in the eye of the beholder perhaps, but more specifically evil and good is what we choose to make of it in our own minds. Whether it be a corrupt politician starving and killing millions by imposing dictorial rule or of a serial killer who believes he is not killing people but doing gods work and disposing of demons. The truth is i believe myself to be a good person. However the fact remains I AM EVIL, YOU ARE EVIL, THE WORLD IS EVIL the only question is how evil will you or i become?thecornerofacircle

that's ridiculous
could simply say love is the absence of hate and therefore love dose not existor that being poor is the absence of wealth and there is no poverty
and if god made free will he has to make the choices and if a choice is evil therefor he created it

Light is an absence of dark.
Nourishment is an absence of hunger
Good is a lack of evil.
The problem is not the definition of evil, but what we know to be "evil" by name. Evil used in this context means harm, sadness, confusion, all those bad feelings.
