That really isn't anyone's buisness25% Voted for by me alone, street-crazy, Deadly Shame, -TheLoneWolf-, ThisEndUp.
I really don;t think that is any of our buisness, us just being people who don;t know him, or his daughter. Though if you listen to Mockingbird it is obvious that he cares if you really want my opinion. Though personally I don’t think it’s the public’s buisness, if your father was a bad father we most liekly wouldn’t be discussing it on this site so why talk about whether or not Eminem is a bad father? How shady is Slim?15% Voted for by mbbg0, clearcrayon, Kevin.
I definitely have an opinion on Marshall Mathers(SP?)I've never heard anyone roll out the rap like he does-if you ask me that's raw talent. And I do think it's public opinion the way he raises Haley. He makes it that way. I think that one day in the future he may have a regret or two, but overall, he's doing what he is passionate about. And he's damn good at it. Have you heard the song where Haley's doing backup's and she's sayin "I think ma dad's gone crazy" ?That is the cutest thing I've heard in a long time! So EMINEM, more power to him. He rocks (so to speak)

Is Eminem a good father?10% Voted for by candyecane2002, mbbg0.
Obviously he is a rapper. Rappers are not usually viewed as good people by today’s society. But he seems to want to be a dedicated father (making a song and video about his daughter). He even adopted his (ex) wife’s sister’s daughter.

He seems to want nothing but the best for his daughter. So he does have good intentions, we will eventually see what plays out. I don't doubt that he will do a good job, because he loves his daughter and he will always make sure she is happy and healthy.

I think he is.10% Voted for by Morgaine, mbbg0.
Sure it’s true we don’t know the man personally. Sure it’s true that in the media he has been violent. But beyond all these little facts, there is one thing that every human being can sense, and that is love. And when Eminem talks or raps or whatever about his little girl, anyone anwhere can sense that he loves her with all he has in him. That doesn’t mean he’s automatically a good dad, it does mean that he tries.

.... Where is the love?10% Voted for by ljeenu, Kevin.
Obviously if he can care for his daughter and support her and show love then isn’t he a good father. He may not be there all the time because of his fame but I, in my personal opinion, think he is a great father and he cares about the girl more than anything in the world. Why would he try to spend as much time as he can trying to get back with his ex so she has a great life. I think everything he does do is for his daughter and that shows his compassion that he hides when he writes a song. We shouldn’t exspect him to sing out his heart when he plays music. There are somethings that can be kept personal, and asking that question is definitely something personal.

oh please don't we all have something better to do?Voted for by a woman to love.
Why should we care about if he is or not? Why the curiosity ?Is it because he is in the spotlight? Don't we all have better things to do .Why not make sure our kids are getting the best from us,why not teach them to be good citizens . Not to look up to celebrities and the like , teach them things that really matter, like respect, and value of human life . We spend so much time speculating on other people's business and lives while ours run away living us behind . Totally nonesensical !!!

True..
But people in the public eye are judged in many ways that "isn't people's business" in reality, but because they are famous it is. And if you head over to this site's sister site, allpoetry, I guarantee you you can find a cornucopia of people discussing on a site about how their fathers are poor parents.April 1, 2005

Agreed, but read on...
I want say first of all, that this should not be a discussion because it is NOT none of our business. Now Marshall Mathers may have opened himself up. But he did so because he is a rapper. All rappers are conriversial to at least half the nation. Whoever is the biggest rapper of a certain day (in this case, Mathers) they will get ALL of the blame for the troubles of that day's society. Even if they rap about positive subjects. Same with Mathers, so he started to make a reason for the public to whine and cry like the traitors they are to thier nation (right to free speech, right to be an individual, and in their case, the right to be wrong). Morality is the most moronic idea. Choose survival, logic, and intellectuality over trivial morality. To get to the point, yes "Eminem" is a good father. Take away the rap and the city backgrounds and he is as equal as any father (good father). If you look at his ex-wife, Mathers tries his damned hardest to protect his daughter, Hailey. And look at nearly half his works, he percieves highly of Hailey. If anyone is to say that he is anything but a good father, thaey are either hypocrites or closed-minded assholes. Most of the people against Mathers are religious. Well boo hoo, we live in a free nation. If Mathers wants to go on record and blaspheme the hell out of you God, then he can. So shut up. He only raps the way he does because of these whining frailing maggots. So waht do you say to that? Please register or login to comment! It's totally free
