There is no purpose to life.
There is just life. The consideration of purpose is just the brain getting bored and looking for something to do. This makes the brain feel that IT has purpose. Look around you. All these phenomenal events going on (called LIFE) are not, in the slightest, interested in the brains pathalogical search for PURPOSE.

manBurgers
You see, the planet Earth is just a breeding ground for us humans to become fat so we can be butchered, processed into manBurgers, and sent to another planet as a fast food item on their menu.
This is an adaptation to what we do to cows and pigs, and the aliens found this as a good method to make money on their planet.
You now know why there are so many unexplained disappearences... because its the aliens doing!
THAT is our true purpose in life.

The purpose of life
To experience as much as you possibly can. . to live with your heart and not so much with your head. . .of course existence will seem purposeless if you break it down into little tiny pieces and put it under a microscope. . you miss the wonder and awesomeness UNLESS YOU LIVE IT! to smile, to experience as much as you can in the time you have here, and to try and love others and yourself no matter how hard that may seem.

To Know Who You Are
The purpose of life is to know who you really are. If you believe that you are who your given and family names are, then you've only reached half way to knowing the final truth about yourself. The other half must be seeked, or you will face pain. If you feel pain, then you have not reached the summit or the core.
There are two basic paths. One is a search for ultimate truth (male). The other a search for ultimate love (female). The end of those two paths meet at God, who is the union of Power and Beauty.

choice
the purpose of life is what you choose to make of it, you'll never find someone who can say the reason for you living is thus. the only reqirement to justify your course in life is that you take responsibility and face the consequences to your actions. if you face resonsibility for what you do no one has the right to say their path is better then yours.

To learn.
I think it's to learn how to live, I mean truly live.
To learn to love, and to understand others. It's to give us lessons for the next step.

I myself was prepared to do this at one stage in my life. But to prevent unneeded continuing existence, I called it death. A simple comfort place. The choice to stay alive merely rests on whether or not one wishes to take the journey, for the hell of it.

Numb maybe?

Yes, numb (if one was without them).
But i didn't say one should be without them. I was talking about identifying with them. One isn't in denial of emotions if one isn't identifying with them. Do you notice how we say "being with or without emotions"? This way we talk is very suggestive of a concept that there is "being" and "emotions" as if there are two entities. Well that is because there are. There is your true being and then there is your body/mind with all it's emotional reactivity. And you can't avoid or successfully deny your emotions. You can only observe them in order to notice that you aren't them anymore than you are your bacteria that inhabit your body. If you were your body we wouldn't be saying "your" in a sentence. We'd be saying "Hey you, body". I'm actually discussing spiritual concepts here. It is about rising above one's emotions so that they don't control you. War and all conflict is about peoples emotions controlling them. If one is successfully observing them (without judgement) then one can identify with one's higher self rather than the body/mind. We are already "robots" to our body/mind/chemical/emotions unless we begin to NOTICE otherwise..Applehead

Meditation I think has to be the closest i've felt like this personally but yeah to observe your own reactions is a good thing this way we learn about our own behaviour and whether it is acceptable. To describe the spiritual self though would be rather difficult dont you think. Balance, contentment, accepting and peaceful spring to my mind. How about you?
