If anyone is truly wise, would they, ultimately, join a side of good or evil or just observe? Would they apply their wisdom to helping a war or to ending it, depending on whether or not they were wise?

Destiny
If someone were truly wise then they would let happen what is supposed to happen. They wouldnt try and change it but get ready to embrace the changes. They shouldnt apply their wisdom for anything because things happen for a reason and the timing of those things are for a reason. If someone were to change it then obviously it would impact everything. This is all assuming that humans have the ability to be wise at all.

Good Question
Depends on what they want to do. Wisdom is considered not to necessarily pick sides, although it may definetly coax someone into leaning a particular way. It seems to me that wisdom will most often come hand in hand with proposed 'goodliness'; however, it may be possible to be overtly wise but insidiously evil. Probably hard to show this in movies because the bad guys always end up losing, which isn't terribly wise. They might seem intelligent, but they lacked the wisdom to foresee their eventual downfall. Although, would that mean a good guy who is killed in the end is also not wise? It always depends on what one aims to achieve. Being good is the wiser choice, so naturally their are more wise good guys than bad; but for a specific purpose, there may be some very sinister bad guys out there that know exactly how, what and why they are doing something, and will easily walk over the top of you just to get there. Don't know if this is wisdom, but it seems to be a possibility.

wisdom
to see across apearances and get to the reality of things, to be able to find the good decition in harsh situations, to be able to choose good over evil. these can all represent wisdom but in the end a person with wisdom will not be sitting down, except for a good reason, he will have control of his/her life and try to change those around for the benefit of those around him/her.
