Should the feeding tube be removed from Terri Schiavo?

The justices of the Supreme Court will decide whether she gets the feeding tube removed. What is your opinion?

The state and private foundations are spending millions on one woman who is braindead. Would you spend millions of dollars growing brocolli? I didn’t think so. There are more urgent matters that could use that money, such as the tsunami aid foundations, the Red Cross for general purposes, the fight against HIV/AIDS and cancer. It may sound heartless, but think of all the millions of lives you could change with the money being spent on one person. Can you say that’s not selfish?

  • She's Not Dying, she is not on life support

She’s brain damaged. Her husband said that she wouldn’t want to live like this, but no one else has heard her say this and there is no living will. He has since moved on with his life and lives with another woman and has two kids by her. There is conflicting testimony on whether or not she is a “vegetable”. Her parents believe differently and I have seen the videos on their homepage and frankly I don’t see her as a “vegetable” either.

I say that her husband has forfeited his rights to call the shots by being with another woman and having kids with her. Her parents want to take care of her. Let them.

Terry’s husband is using all the money funded to care for Terry, for his own musings. He doesn’t care for her like he should. He does NOT deserve to be the primary care provider for Terry, her family should.

A-The Supreme Court cannot legally issue a mandate telling the hospital to do this B-Congress cannot order the Supreme Court to take action C-The feeding tube shouldn’t be removed as a means to end her life and finally D-Her life should be quickley ended. Sorry to tell anybody who thinks she should go on living, but she’s not coming back. Terry’s going to lay there until she dies of natural causes costing insurance money and eventually money out of her husband’s pocket. Yes, maybe he’s only intersted in getting the remaining money, but better that it go to something constructive, like raising a child, than keeping someone hanging between life and death.

although she died this morning, i still think they shouldve kept in the feeding tube…they say that she doesnt feel anything or doesnt know anything, but personally, i think she was aware of what was going on…she deserved to live as much as everybody else and what they did to her was completely wrong in my opinion.

  • She made her own decision!

Sure this is late, but her last wish was to not be left in a vegetative state, and who the hell has the right to say that a 26 year old (or how ever old she was) didn’t know how to make her own decision? That was all bullshit, and its so wrong to leave her in that state when she just wants to be with God. If she was meant to live, there would have been a miracle. Thats the end of that.
