Why do so many have to fight and use religion as a vehicle to promote their differences and hate
-
Religion
Defines their hate. if you can back your hate with some hard, godly words, you have a better chance of convincing your conscienceness that this hate that you are feeling is right and the others just degrade humanity.
this is one of the many reasons i do not agree with religion.

Deffusion of responsibility
people instinctively feel that they need to justify their action. If people can not find justification for they ambitions or actions they will either alter their beleifes or fabricate a reason that suits their need.
the peron uselly not fully aware that they are fabricating a reason.
A person will search their beleifes for a reason that supports what they wish to do. People that are obsessed will centerlize their attention and will find the proof they say they need, becasue they centralize they will not see all the evidance that they are wrong.
So why do people use God because many people are from culture that are realigious. People of socially focused cultures will find social reasons, science base cultures will find scientfic reasons.
people do this so that they can blame their actions on an external source so that they don't have to face respponsiblity on an emotional plain.

Lack of identity
I think we have reached an era where people lack identity, globalization and the absence of role models along with information overflow and 4 billion more people on the planet in 30 years, we are bound to experience a worldwide tribification.

Yep
A person's religion always, at least in part, defines who they are. It may not be wrong but their total dependancy on it- and the that theirs is correct- can lead to trouble.Organized religions and extremists are the worst.

i hear ya
i'm a Christian, btw... and it does say in the Bible not to do swear anything in the name of God... i think this would include fighting/hating in the name of God... how can anyone really believe they are doing something in the name of God unless it says directly in the Bible that you SHOULD be doing it in the name of God (like prayer)... sorry if ya'll aren't Christians and i've just wasted your time because this doesn't apply to you... but that's this from my point of viewPlease register or login to comment!
