Some people of a young age have a feeling they have yet to discover the world and understand what they want to do, understand themselves.
Thing is, Many of them don’t manage to escape to make their dream a reality because it is set in their mind that there is only one reality, also its possible they were discouraged at the fact that there was no way they could survive if they would do such a thing. That reality isn’t false, however, it isn’t true either. True as in it’s not set in stone.
I admit it’s a typical psychological rebellion against the stressful things in life. This is very similar to the fact as to why young kids refuse alien foods such as certain vegetables. It is in their subconscious minds, due to human nature, to protect oneself from unknown substances which are possibly harmful to the body. Thus the body shows a mental sign of disgust. This is a reason we automatically know not to eat wood or unknown substances to our body. We arnt entirely familiar with the world, so we show a sign of fear, and thus we wish to find our own way. I see this as some sort of natural sign. A sign within the mind shouldn’t be ignored, I chose not to ignore it as some common reaction in many people. I believe I can carve something else into reality. Thereby giving many more opportunities within this reality. My only wish is to help others..and i have my idea of a living, cant share it online otherwise people will steal my idea thus shattering my dream...
People are also stressed for success, and at the same time forget what success really is. To be successful is to satisfy yourself in life. People tend to stress satisfying others such as their parents, they have the desire to earn other peoples respect at the same time of losing their self-respect. People like to aim to high standards within society and have a good position, spoiling themselves with tons of money at the same time suffering through the same stress as when they had little money. Just because you have more money doesn’t mean your stress with dealing with money will decrease, if anything it stays the same. I’m experiencing it right now. I mean, we fill our fridge with so much crap that you will open the door in the morning and wont be able to find anything worthy of your stomach. People who have money like to fill their lives with all the new and greatest things (aka spoiling themselves) and maybe that’s what satisfies them. Everyone is different and thus shouldn’t judge other people according to their own standards.

Fairly InescapableWe don't automatically not eat wood and vegetables because we're nervous. Most toddlers stick just about anything in their mouth. Kids refuse vegetables because they remember what it tastes like as they chew the crunch and the surface area increases and spreads squishy across their mouth and they didn't like it. We don't eat wood and strange things now because we know about eating bad things killing us and making us sick.Voted for by Weydon.
Satisfying your self-respect is a pretty healthy path to choose. But you'll find it's near impossible to not wish the respect of others and go an extra mile or refuse certain things to gain or keep that respect. This is ALSO healthy, as you likely respect these people and want their approval. If someone who I thought was a great judge of character thought I was a total jerkwadface I'd be a little bummed. Balance is important.
LOL Eating healthier is good too. But some spoils like cookies and hot pockets isn't going to kill you--and will make you feel good too. Spoiling yourself a little is important to a healthy and happy mind. Just don't forget others too. -
i agree in all except one thingthere is only one reality by definition... the problem is that we all want to create our own realities therefore confusing what actual reality is. i ofcourse believe that that reality would be economics... as in it teaches reality to us. economics is the study of choice. we all do economics every day we just dont call it economics we call it life. because in life you are forced to make choices (not makeing a choice is also a choice so all situations force you to choose). its hard for me to explainly clearly to someone else but basically reality never changes it is us who change in conparison to reality that change. a child is pure economics plain and simple.Voted for by pnktrky.

No...
That disgust reaction towards alien foods is a scientific theory which is most accurate, more accurate than what your explanation was. ill say more laterFebruary 10, 2007
Ok, so heres how it is
It is not intentional, but it's in our biologic nature (that we cant see) to react with disgust to unknown or unfamiliar substances. Now people just stick with their myopic point of view with certain unimportant subjects such as this and just think it's because the kid doesn't like the feel or taste. But there is a reason why they dont like the taste or fee. It is in our chemical biologic nature to automatically and unintentially react to such things. As we understand more and experience more, a.k.a. get older, we dont mind vegetables as much, it's how we say our taste buds change to to maturity. We just dont understand the science of it.Applehead

Having four children I have witnessed different reactions to different foods. My fourth child preferred fruit, salad or veg so hows that work?

"t is not intentional, but it's in our biologic nature (that we cant see) to react with disgust to unknown or unfamiliar substances"
Everything is unfamiliar. The first time I gave my nephew apple he loved it. Chicken too. And pizza. But he hated lima beans and still does. Is this myopic ignorance to biological warnings or common sense about taste? Our taste buds do, seemingly, change a little as we grow. Though, sometimes it's just acquiring taste. The first time I had really spicy food I LOVED it. The first time I had beer I HATED it. Now I love the taste of both.
