Religion, everyone should have one, but is there a problem with some of them? Is it possible that some religions may, just may, cross the boundary of acceptable?

One Real Path, yet Many To Choose From
"I am the way and the truth and the life-no one comes to the Father except through me"
There is debate within churches over many views, but the point is that God says that some things are SIN. He's not saying you'll burn in hell for being gay or hindi, or whatever, He's saying you'll burn in hell for sinning. OF course, God offers a path of salvation-a gift that is available to all. And that's another point-God loves, he doesn't hate anyone. Not wiccans, not atheist-not anyone. He hates THE SIN. Admittingly, some people take this hate of sin the wrong way, and end up hating people of other beliefs, but as a Christian, I can say that I LOVE wiccans and homosexuals, and other people of other beliefs. But I strongly disagree with what they do. There's a difference, just keep that in mind

Religion=Belief System
It's as simple as that. If you have a belief system that over-rides your first-hand experience then that is your religion. Take for example the belief "he died for you". That belief makes one prejudice (pre-judge) because you are expecting an outcome. If you expect an outcome you are thinking about the future which takes you away from the present. The present is all there is. move away from the present and you suffer.
Approach every single person like you do not know them. Yes, of course, we *know* that jumping off a bridge is harmful. Those kind of predictions on material objects are fine. But applying those predictions on human beings causes misery.

Christans and Catholics, Taught to Hate?
Before I am to begin, know that I am not going to state anything like "thr iz no gawd" or "jezuz sux". I am not so close minded. In fact, I do believe in God, and I do believe that Christianity and Catholicism can be good for society. However, I feel there is a problem with the so called "teachings" of Christ.
Did you know that, according to Catholics, being a homosexual is a sin and God will them banish to hell to burn eternally for having an alternate lifestyle? I don't believe that God would be so childish. God would never care what you were: white or black, gay or straight, male or female. God would view all peoples of all religions and nationalities as his children, his creations. God would be willing to look past the person and see the human, the soul. I am not a homosexual, I never have been, nor never would be, but I am appalled at the absolute hate and discrimination shown to homosexuals by the Church. Would God not want all his children to live together in harmony? Not according to Christians and Catholics. To them God would rather an Aryan race of blue-eyed, blond-haired, homophobic, sheep.
Other religions is often a target of hate from religion. If you are Wicca, you burn in Hell, if you are Buddhist, you go to Hell, if you are anything but them, you go to Hell. Most often targeted is Wicca, a religion I view as a perfectly fine and pure religion. A religion I have considered taking up multiple times. According to the Church, Wiccans worship Satan, perform evil black magic, and kill innocent humans as sacrifices. Such is not the case. Wiccans are just as normal and loving as anyone. They do not do the evil things that the Church states that they do. The Church demonizes them because they are afraid of other religions becoming more popular than they, afraid of losing favor in the publics eye. They even attempt to force the government to discriminate against them. A childish act. They want rights only to apply to normal Christan/Catholic men and women. What happened to the freedom of religion we fought for at the beginning of our country? Apparently they only wanted it to apply to them.
I'm not asking you to be Wiccan or Atheist or Agnostic. I'm not telling you that the Church is evil. I'm not even trying to convince you to hate the Church. I am just asking you that if you choose to be Christian or Catholic to please be open-minded. Please remember that other people have just as much right to be who they are as you do. If everyone would just learn to love and accept each other then the world would be a better place. I'm not spreading lies and hate like the Church is, I'm spreading acceptance and unity. Don't hate the people, don't hate the Church. Don't hate at all. Just learn to accept and understand.
Better the world, for everyone.
